His point is that Trump’s base is so desensitized to anything that would normally be considered immoral or illegal and would easily ruin a person’s career, campaign, and persona. He could get away with almost anything; Harris cannot. It’s neither fair nor right, but Bill’s point is that this is reality. As a Vice President, it is literally her job to support the President and his decisions. As soon as she was asked that question I was a bit pissed because she cannot go on The View and say her President is doing it wrong.
