Men can use the same as women, we all have the same skin. The marketing industry has made it seem like we need different skincare but in reality what women use men can to, only thing is like beard oil.
@alx253 жыл бұрын
@@oliviad5474 True to that... although I feel that after I shave my face I need to put on some heavy-duty moisturizer otherwise it can get itchy and red... But you are right we all have the same skin.
@rebekka29212 жыл бұрын
@@alx25 I’m a little late to the party here, but female and male skin is a bit different. Men have thicker skin than women because of testosterone. Men also have more texture in their skin and they tend to produce more oils. And men have more collagen, which is part of the reason why most men will naturally lose skin elasticity later and get wrinkles slower compared to most women (another reason that men age slower is that men lose testosterone slower than women lose estrogen). But even though men are biologically more lucky with their skin aging, lifestyle and genes obviously makes a huge difference. In regards to shaving, more men than women shave their face, which exfoliates the skin and increases skin cell turnover. It often irritates the skin of course, in which case a soothing moisturizer is ideal. But like the other commenter said, “female” and “male” skincare products are mostly marketing. I recommend you look up Eucerin’s article “Understanding skin - How does male and female skin differ?” if you’re curious to read more.

Speaking as a born European and bred American 😂 But we don't have the same concept of a pharmacy! Our drugstores are just big stores with a pharmacy section for prescription medicine, and other things like cosmetics and even household items and over-the-counter medicine. I miss the cute little pharmacy signs on the streets in Europe, but getting ibuprofen or cough medicine is way more convenient in America since we can just grab it ourselves 😂

La Roche Posay is a European brand, you can buy it in every European country. (pretty sure it's the same with Aveeno, if you can't find it you can get it on iHerb). Avène is a European brand as well, you can buy it everywhere. Skin Ceuticals has 21 websites where you can order from (12 of them for European countries) or you can buy it in shops. Tatcha I think is the only one a bit more difficult to get, but I think it's always sold out everywhere so you wouldn't be able to get it even if it was in local shops 😅
@yellowbags3 жыл бұрын
You can skip Tatcha because of the intense fragrance and the exorbitant prices. Aveeno doesn't have any authorised sellers - don't buy from iHerb! The real problem is the sunscreens, we can never get those in Europe :( xoxo from someone who would love to buy EltaMD, Glossier etc from authorised sellers so she knows the sunscreens haven't been lying in a warehouse for over a year (thus having been rendered useless)

I’ve had black smoke in my NYC apartment that damaged my skin barrier and gave me cystic acne, I have been struggling with it for one year solid this November. I’ve tried everything under the sun, and The skincuticles and the LaRoche broke me out worse. I never totally cleared it up and then once the heat came on again this year it made my face 10 times worse it’s hot, itchy, flaky, red, sensitive, extremely oily, and I have never had any acne in my entire life. There’s no acne for three generations back on both sides of my family I’m 43 years old this is 100% from the soot coming into my apartment. Any advice or help is overly appreciated!

Good luck with your Covid test! And thanks for making this video my skin feels like it’s going to shrivel up with all the dry heat on in my house, so this is exactly what I needed

Thanks for all the tips! Also now I see why my skin has freaked out with certain products when you mentioned skin irritations for people with inflammatory diseases. I have psoriasis and some products do make my skin flare up really bad. Basically gave myself inverse psoriasis when trying a new natural deodorant that had essential oils in it. So painful and took quite a while to heal. :(

Would you recommend at-home oatmeal face masks given it has such beneficial properties? Or is it only effective as an ingredient in these skin products?

Not into that many DIY for actual skincare- egg white mask is reallt it for me before an event to have instant tightening effect. The rest, ur wasting a lot of Ingredients. If you insist, oatmeal can def me calming.
