It doesn't really matter on how hard the material used for a Jeager or how advanced the Jeager is, it's really on how well a pilot/pilots does when it comes to controlling and using a Jeager for combat, put an unexperienced guy/guys who never drove a Jeager in his/their life inside one, they don't know what to do.

Maybe it could shoot grappling hooks at Kaiju, whilst yelling "GET OVER HERE!!" Then, maybe follow it up with an uppercut?

Not necessarily better, just a bit more advanced. This video was ranking Jaegers by technological advancements. Saber Athena has a unique build allowing it to move faster, and be much more agile than all of the other Jaegers. Also, at the time of making this video director Steven DeKnight stated that Saber Athena was a Mark VII, and was supposed to be the only Mark VII Jaeger. After the debut of the film, that information changed.

Seanne Playz Thank you for the suggestion! When I released this video, Steven DeKnight has stated that Saber Athena was a Mark 7, and Obsidian Fury was the newest generation after Athena. Since Uprising's debut, information has changed. Athena is now in the class with the rest of the Mark 6's... Planning on making a newer video based on feats in the near future, now that Uprising has been officially released that is.

Don't forget to feed your Kaiju twice a day! Also, Kaiju need lots of exercise. Make sure he has either a miniature city to destroy, or a miniature Jaeger to battle.

When I made this video, Saber Athena was announced as a Mark 7 Jaeger, and Obsidian Fury was supposed to be a generation after Saber Athena. After the movie debut, Saber Athena was changed to Mark 6, and Obsidian Fury was found to be a Kaiju-Jaeger hybrid without a designated mark. It could be argued that he is a Mark 7 though. I love Crimson Typhoon the fact he is a Chinese Jaeger piloted by Chinese Triplets he’s so cool and agile he’s one of the advanced jaegers and definitely should be on the list he has the thundercloud formation his fingers turn into saws and he has one eye that’s used actually as a scoped eye he is flexible allowing him to rotate his legs in 180 formation pretty cool I don’t think any jaegers could be flexible and he is one of the tallest jaegers

pentecost and the other coyote tango pilot can definitely destroy gipsy avenger considering gipsy avenger coudnt even kill 1 of the 3 kaijus. Even raleigh and mako who is a rookie pilot can kill 2 cat 4s no problem.

@Jell1y Gamer That's a tough one. Obsidian Fury is supposed to be really fast. Second only to Saber Athena. Obsidian Fury also has dual plasma chainsaws. Hmm... I would give Saber a slight edge in melee, but Obsidian would have the advantage in ranged combat for sure.

At the time this video was made, Steven DeKnight had announced Saber Athena as a Mark 7 Jaeger, and Obsidian Fury was supposed to be the next generation of Jaeger following Athena. Since the films debut, information has changed. Saber Athena has been reclassified as a Mark 6 now(Even though she was the most advanced of the 6's). I will be releasing a more up to date video in the near future. One with Jaegers ranked by feats. Thank you for commenting!

@@Top10girl that will not be possible, it will be over the material limits and get crushed by it's own weight and as they said in the film, the bigger the size, the bigger the neurons load, meaning that it will require four times the current pilot to balance the brain load. If one pilot get knocked out, the remaining pilots will get their head blowned off take the big mega Kaiju for example. One normal Kaiju will only need a primary brain and a secondary brain. Big mega Kaiju needs 1 big Primary brain, and 3 secondary brains in order to move that big body around. Results in their attacks limited into spin tail and punch and bite, and got 1 of his secondary brain destroyed by Saber Athena in just 1 hit because he rotates too slow. Instead he could just dig a hole and hide, or just run away and flank them.

Right! Yeah, in the beginning it says Jaeger means hunter, and Kaiju means giant beast! I had forgotten about that part, but noticed it while re-watching Pacific Rim again for another video. I guess Kaiju actually means "Strange Beast" in Japanese though. Although, I think everyone that uses that word now is referring to a giant monster of some sort. Thank you for commenting!!

Not necessarily... When I made this video, Saber Athena was announced as a Mark 7 Jaeger, and Obsidian Fury was supposed to be a generation after Saber Athena. After the movie debut, Saber Athena was changed to Mark 6, and Obsidian Fury is listed as just a Kaiju-Jaeger hybrid without a designated mark. It could be argued that he is a Mark 7 though.
