TheDinopug Otachi was a difficult one to place for sure! I maybe could have bumped him up ahead of Raiju & Scunner. Although, Raiju & Scunner are both larger & stronger, and Otachi's acid spit & flying abilities would be rendered useless underwater. Otachi is one of my favorites though! The Dragon Kaiju!

Axehead is NOT a Category III Kaiju, and Axehead is just an alternate name. It's a Category I Kaiju named Trespasser and was the first Kaiju to attack mankind.

I used Axehead thinking that maybe it would have been its official designation if it had passed through the breach with the Kaiju Alert System(Serizawa Scale) in place. Because Trespasser/Axehead passed through the breach before the Kaiju warning system was implemented, it is in an unknown category. As far as sizes go, it was the size of a category 3/4 Kaiju. Now, it's not only size that determines the category, but it has been heavily debated that Trespasser/Axehead was at least a category 3. Also, it apparently took three nukes to take it down, so it was definitely a tough cookie. Again though, it's unofficial what category it was in, as there is no official PR documentation stating its category. Thank you for commenting!

As far as I know, Trespasser IS the official name oft this Kaijū, BUT director Gulliermo del Toro confirmed that it is a Category I and that it's OFFICIAL alternate name is Axehead. But I am just as confused as you: If it is a Category I, then why was it (from the perspective of the viewer) as big as the Mega-Kaijū from UPRISING? HOW THE F*CK IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE? Patrice Koume Yeah, Axehead/Trespasser is even larger than Knifehead - a Category III Kaiju. Also, Axehead must've had an extremely tough hide to withstand multiple nukes like that. It just doesn't make any sense for it to have been classified as a Category I. If you have any links to anything official about its category, I would be more than appreciative if you would link me! No. Trespasser/Axehead was believed to be at least a category 3 Kaiju. But, because the Kaiju Alert System wasn't in place at that time, Trespasser/Axehead is technically in an unknown category...

UNDER TAKER There was a promotional poster released in Japan that had Mega-Kaiju listed as a category VI. Steven DeKnight said on Twitter that Mega was a category XIII. Mega falls into the same fun category as Axehead/Trespasser. The unknown category... (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻

Mega-Kaiju is just considered one Kaiju. Although it technically has three brains, it would be unable to unfuse and become the three original Kaiju again. Also, destroying the brain in Mega's head would put him down permanently.

Is this an official list, or did you make it? Trespasser/Axehead could practically fit Karloff in its mouth! Also, Hakuja and Shrikethorn are only category IV Kaiju, and they definitely wouldn't be a match for Slattern. Trespasser should be moved up just behind Mutavore(or just in front of). Otachi is a wildcard, and could be in a correct spot there. I would probably put him below Raiju & Scunner though. He's kind of a shrimp in comparison. Slattern should be moved up just behind Mega-Kaiju. Raijin's attacks are evolved to absorb energy & return fire to Jaegers. A battle between Rajin & Slattern would end with Raijin's defeat. Slatterns is larger/stronger, and fights primarily with its tail(kinda like Mega-Kaiju). In this video I just included Mega-Kaiju since it was the final form of the fusion between Raijin/Hakuju, and Shrikethorn. Pretty nice list though! Thank you for posting it!

I think DeKnight said something like that, but I wouldn't necessarily call him the Kaiju expert. I wonder what Del Toro would say about Mega-Kaiju? Also, if you look at the size differences between even a two to a three Kaiju, or four to five; it's extremely significant. I wouldn't think Mega-Kaiju could be more than a seven at most. Nothing is official though, as the PR Serizawa scale only goes to Category five...

I don't think it necessarily works like that... If that were true, then a fusion between Onibaba & Mutavore would be a Category above Slattern. Onibaba was a shrimp comparatively, and Mutavore was nothing special. Slattern would annihilate a fusion between the two of them easily. Heck, even Scunner or Raiju would probably be able to defeat that fusion.

@@Top10girl it's possible since, let's say this, the only thing that is constant with Kaiju is it's size and strength. Every Kaiju has a strong strength trait, so that's like a third of a kaijus make up so assume that a 1/3 of 5 is about 1.5 and we keep doing this until we get an end number, so we have 4.5 since we did this 3 times. Now we add the other 2/3 and we end up getting 13 6.0 7.5 9.0 10.5 12.0 13.5 this works out because they're clones, they're all technically the same. So if we take away the added bonus of speed we would get something like 7.0. what do you think?

@@disposabledishsoap6520 It seems to me that the Kaiju size & strength goes us exponentially as the category increases. Not the other way around. Look at Onibaba as a Category II, Then Slattern at a Category V. Slattern is probably five times the size of Onibaba, and they are only three categories apart. So, picture a Kaiju that is eight categories up from Slattern, and factor in exponential growth. I would imagine that its head would be poking through the clouds at that point!

Most of the stats come from the PR Fandom Wiki. While it does seem like Leatherback should be higher because of the throw, it's difficult to compare the strength of the other Kaiju that have claw hands as opposed to Leatherback's Gorilla hands. Otachi is a good example. Otachi couldn't really pick up and throw Gipsy the same way that Leatherback did, but Otachi was able to lift Gipsy into flight, slam him through a bunch of stuff, and carry Gipsy out of the Stratosphere. There are different feats of strength I guess is what I'm saying.

Yeah, Obsidian was a hybrid, but he was more Jaeger than Kaiju imho. State of the art armor, melee, and ranged weaponry. Some Kaiju muscle strands and a Kaiju brain... Plus, I didn't want to double dip. I already had him in the Jaeger video. I have a feeling that they can scrap the Kaiju guts inside, and make him pilotable via Jaeger pilot(s).

Trespasser/Axehead was the first Kaiju to pass through the breach, and he was larger & stronger than the Cat 1-2 Kaiju. Although, because the Serizawa scale had not been implemented yet, Trespasser/Axehead has no *official* category. Thank you for commenting!

To my understanding, the categories wouldn't stack like that. There is a fairly large size range in each category, and we don't exactly know the limit of even Category V at this point. Size differences can also be substantial just being 1-2 categories apart. In my opinion Mega is probably in the high-end of Category VI, but it's possible that Mega could be a bit higher (one or two higher that VI at most).

It's a fusion of three Kaiju into one. In final form, it's just one massive Kaiju. The three Kaiju that fused, can't split off and go back to their original forms. Although, that would be pretty neat if they could! Thank you for commenting!

The US military eventually took it down using multiple nukes. It took them almost a week to take down that one though. Axehead/Trespasser caused quite a bit of damage while it was on a rampage. Not to mention the damage cause by the nukes that were used to take it out.

I mostly used the ratings posted on the PR Wiki. He's posted as a six in strength on there. I do agree that he should have been higher in strength though. Especially the way he threw Gipsy Danger in the first film. The only reason that I would think he is not rated higher, is because of his size. Both Leatherback & Otachi were on the small side for being Category IV Kaiju. Thank you for commenting!

ShadowZepplin Right! I used Axehead thinking that maybe it would have been its official designation if it had passed through the breach with the Kaiju Alert System(Serizawa Scale) in place. I also applied this logic when choosing Trespasser's category, and again when filling in Mega's stats/category. Overall, I was just trying to leave out any question marks while making this... Axehead doesn't have an official category, as it came through the breach before the Kaiju warning system was in place. The theory is that the Precursors sent first a Kaiju that they thought would be powerful enough to obliterate the human race. Based on Axehead/Trespasser's size it would appear to be at least a category three or four. Durability with withstanding nuclear blasts was even higher than Slattern, who was a category five!
