I remember the day they broke ground, what they’ve accomplished is a beautiful paradise.

It has a worrying structure.😅 Above the vaulted brick ceiling is thousands of tons of soil. At the very least, the ceiling and walls should be of high-pressure reinforced concrete, like those used in the subway.

From the look of it, they’re gonna have to do something about that sloping wall of dirt that is over the cow Barnes because that’s not gonna last long cut. Katsu plant would do great in keeping the dirt from eroding.

Yes exactly. And when it will rain, the soil will also get compressed and may affect the stability of the whole structure.

the Chinse have been doing these kind of constructions for thousands of years, and if you watch more of their videos, the garden and outdoor area is always right up there as a priority (and many of them will do the outdoors before renovating the indoors). the deforestation is probably to do with post WWII when they needed fuel to make fires to manufacture their military equipment so basically they turned China into a desert and then had to rebuild it.

Their dirt looks so friendly, with no rocks in vegetation, especially roots, getting in the way

Can u imagine the red tape and health and safety caos you would have in the UK to try to build something like this.

Estou chocada com o absurdo. Um gasto de tempo e dinheiro na construção desse universo claustrofóbico. Moradores deprimidos e doentes em pouco tempo.

The amount of time, resources and energy going into this is absolutely wild. Industrious, hard working and dedicated crew. Seems a shame and a waste of materials to cover up all the brick with plastic. If they collaborated with the global earthship community in Taos NM, be neat to see the culmination of styles into even more brilliant regenerative biosphere. What an endeavor.

Mountain construction risks include natural disasters, poor access, and environmental harm like deforestation and erosion. Solutions: eco-friendly designs, avoiding risky areas, replanting trees, and strict regulations for sustainable development.
