He literally grew from a thug, abusing his authority, to being one of the most respected leaders. even his team wanted him to lead, had the respect of his commander and community alike. Not to mention he was willing to sacrifice his life for one of his teammates.

Honestly, you gotta respect Devon. He's known about the rangers since forever, had to deal with his dad being his worst enemy, only became the leader because he managed to keep Ravi and Zoey, who had volunteered as leaders, from biting each others' heads off, was willing to learn from his teammates, and knew when he wasn't the right person to help.

TJ has to be my number 1. Culturally speaking as a kid growing up playing power rangers with some of my friends I always wanted to be the Red Ranger, but always got relegated to either Black or Blue cause at the time those were the only colors played by black male actors, but when Tommy officially passed the powers to TJ it was a paradigm shift seeing someone that looks like me finally take responsibility and lead his own team against evil.

He was pessimistic especially when the Mystic Rangers lost their powers to the Master of the Underworld it was at that point he wanted to give up. A true leader inspires and instills hope and optimism in others despite how difficult things become.

Each Samurai Ranger had an element that they specialized in, and while Jayden primarily used fire, he also used lightning at times, so it could have worked.

I feel that Jason from the Saban's Power Rangers movie is worth bringing up. The movie shows us a Jason that acts more like a typically common teenager, which we're not all use to seeing him act like, but I thought that it made him more human in a MCU and DCAU sort of way. Eventually he grows into the role of the Red Ranger and as leader of the Power Rangers.⚡

At first I would Lauren to be replace with Scott the RPM ranger. Unlike the other rangers team his team is in a different Universe so if they lost, that's it there were no other Ranger team. He was a good and his back story was a bit similar to Leo but his brother did died. But Lauren do deserve to be on this list. She is technically supposed to be the leader since she is the oldest child which make her the first good female red ranger and is recognize among the other red rangers.
