@@twistedgambit9084 Sorry, but I don't remember. I was reading GenX as a kid, in the 90s. So you'd have to cross reference that w/ the 1st time Emma's ever went diamond (to survive Cassandra Nova's sentinel attack on Genosha, during the "E for Extinction" storyline-- New X-Men #114-116 in 2001). You'll see that Paige shifted to diamond, long before Emma. In fact, there was another "GenX student" named "Penance" who had diamond-hard, razor-sharp skin, who also might've been an inspiration for Emma's diamond form.
