Another thing that freaks me out about many of these stories is that I've camped alone in several of them years before ever hearing about any of these cases. Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, Trinity Wilderness, Humboldt County Redwoods, Arches, Canyonlands, Los Padres / Big Sur, Badlands, Palisades, Estes, Green Mountains in Vt., and many others. Every one of them, except for the Green Mts, I did completely alone. Never knowing there were any of these types of cases that involve recurring patterns.

My boyfriend and I got lost in a national park last year. His family has a cabin on the land and we went for a hike. He's been there his whole life and i've been there quite a bit. We were going in circles, nobody could hear us, he shot off his gun and nobody could hear. It was really frightening especially an hour in... it was starting to get dark and we were yelling before we heard a man not 10 feet away say something, I also heard some chains (It reminded me of a dog collar and leash). We looked around and there was no one there. We were so confused. There couldn't be a person there. Even though this is a national forest, this part wasnt accessible to the public. how could someone be in the middle of the forest on private property full of dead trees be around without us noticing? There was literally no one there. It was really scary. We heard lots of weird noises we didn't quite process while we were struggling to find our way back. We followed a creek for hours until we reached a highway eventually. When we got back, we were talking about all the weird stuff that was happening while we were trying to escape the forest. I don't know what it was but it felt like the forest wanted to keep us there. We would hear people and run one way before hearing something else and being completely turned around. We are mountain kids, always have been and we were just completely empty headed of everything we knew in there. We joke that it was some portal or something just because of how off and weird life felt in there. Lol I'm not crazy, none of that was a hallucination even though it sounds nuts! 😁 his family thought we were crazy except his grandpa who has spent many times in the woods himself. You could see in his face, he had an idea what we had felt like and gone through.

wow.. glad you made it out but it doesnt sound crazy to me at all. if you follow the subject of disappearing hikers closely, the few stories that come out from people who survived and have some semblance of memory about it - are replete with weirdness like you describe stuff like coming under a veil of confusion, seeing people looking for them but who couldnt see or hear them and having seemingly invisible 'barriers' preventing them from moving where they want. very strange stuff

About 2-3 summers ago I was at my family’s land we camp at (we call it the pond hence it’s a big pond we camp around) beautiful place! Anyway my brother had some friends over and everyone was drinking but me I was DD ... so I was sitting about 5 feet or so on the other side of the fire from everyone else when I turned around and behind/beside me is the one trailer they have and the screen door was open and standing in the doorway was this tall black figure of a dog. It looked exactly like a dog just standing on his back legs with his arms crossed leaning on the door frame ... his ears were bent back and he had huge black eyes that I could see the reflection of the fire in. I froze just staring ... then turned back around then got up and turned to look and it was gone. It was just chilling there watching us ... I was pretty shocked so my sister came over to go in the trailer to use the washroom so I grabbed her arm and said OMFG I gotta come I just seen something so we went in and I looked around while telling her what I saw ... but it was long gone ... I got the nerve to check around outside too and nothing ... the forest surrounding is very dense so it could have easily slipped away without anyone seeing. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life! Just a note: we live in southern Ontario Canada ... this is what got me into these types of stories and finding David Paulides (and these KZbin channels) but all of them say the dogman and have pictures of some scary wolf. This wasn’t that at all. It wasn’t scary ... it was just there watching .... so what was it?

when there are thousands or millions of people sharing a reality, that reality is reinforced by every viewer or participant. A reality that is not shared by many is held together loosely. In other words, a less viewed reality is not as real as one that is viewed regularly by many. The walls separating realities not viewed are very thin where as the walls separating well viewed realties are thick and strong. Wilderness areas are not viewed by many and the vails separating realities are thin, people venturing out into these areas can literally walk into alternate realities and out of our reality for extended period of time or forever.

I didn't realize how much I preferred longer posts until we were gifted with length on par with certain Documentaries, while still retaining pertinence and focus with the material of each individually summarized case. As opposed to perhaps, going off on tangents in relation to theories and speculations that, while sometimes interesting or insightful, ultimately drift attention away from the facts and information that has a better chance of potentially bringing us all closer to understanding these disappearances. This process of analyzing and distributing all known logical insight with these cases and relaying it out to all of us...which then trickle along all who share and continue passing along these stories that give the ability for all supporting parties within this extended community to grow Endlessly. At least for me, that is what I have found to be the most stimulating and heartfelt motivational perseverance that endures when watching, despite time aging many of the cases into the potential of becoming forgotten. Thanks to all who've researched and continue to keep the fire burning for the people closest with those still missing. I can now start this week off with a good nutritional batch of Rusty.
@ABlackCountryWoman7 жыл бұрын
"Nutritional batch of..."! haha That's great - I like that. I never thought much about longer, well-narrated posts as opposed to shorter posts, which are usually accompanied by eye-catching graphics, but don't go past the surface; the basic premise of the story. There was a time when I would, naturally, skip a KZbin video, once I realized it was a post, such as this - with a long narrative and no 'eye candy'! haha I guess, unconsciously, I began to feel the way you describe, here, once I started to give longer posts a chance. This style of story-telling or story-relaying, does go deeper into detail and they do tend to adhere more to fact than, as you say, speculation or theory, which, no matter how insightful or entertaining, is an altogether different experience than this; you are able to glean real and detailed information from these posts.

But let me say this; of all the alternative videos, podcasts, uploads, etc., the national park story's the most credible and believable of any of them. Forget what's happening to these people after they vanish, or why. The most important message here is that we want this to get out to as many people as possible. My hubby and I are stewards to an area ruined by the steele mills. It is also a place where the Native Americans were abused. Twice this year during broad daylight, at two different parks we were creeped out...for the first time ever, we felt like we were being watched. The first incident, we heard something approaching us about 100 yards out, we caught a glimpse of something human sized hairy arm. The second time I took one of our dogs. We had that feeling, but couldn't see exactly what was there, but it stalked us as we made our way out. My badassed pity was scared shitless and couldn't get to the car fast enough. Occasionally we still feel something out there. These parks are located in a major city. I now welcome that feeling, because I think whatever is out there, is happy with how my hubby and I are helping Mother Nature come back to life.

If u guys enjoyed this then I highly recommend that u check out David Paulides' "Missing 411". It's a few volumes of books that he created compiling cases just like this with all their information. On KZbin there are tons of interviews he did where he talks about the cases. Check em out! Very creepy and informative. The best are his interviews the Coast to Coast radio ones. Thank me later when U check it out, it's truly incredible the amount of investigative work he put into it.

That's a good question and in my opinion, I think yes! When I was staying in Wyoming for a month; visiting Yellowstone, I took random pics because I got an uneasy feeling of being watched. Back then I had a reg camera, it was 1997.I didn't just take random shots, I made sure I took some of myself; if something were to happen to me and my camera was found, a pic of me would have been on it. I always make sure I have the time and date set up on it. Sounds stupid to some, my friends think I'm crazy, but I didn't care then & don't care now.

Thank you for doing this, I like hearing longer missing people’s stories. I think these people are being taken by an alien species, there are a few species that could be doing this. I know people will say I’m nuts but it’s the only answer that fits together. There are aliens that take people for their body parts, organs. The authorities know exactly what is happening so people need to come together and force your authorities to start fighting back and giving families closer. I am so sorry to all the families and friends that have lost love ones.

Ok...going out on a limb here. Does every park have serial killers or kidnappers? I know people take wrong turns, fall into crevices, drown. It seems that there are so many missing and usually no trace. Time portals? Aliens? Spirits? I'm rather perplexed here. I've spent years hiking Yosemite, San Bernardino mountains, Santa Monica Mountains, Mammoth, Los Padres National Forest and more. 1) I've never been lost 2) Never had any weird things happen and 3) I've only met nice people enjoying the area like me.
@1wetpaint7 жыл бұрын
I tend to agree with you. I suspect most of these incidents are due to experience, lack of preparedness, panic, predators or humans. Not really buying off on the next dimension or alien thing.
@thevirus73687 жыл бұрын
1wetpaint I'm not disagreeing with you but the refusal or inability for the dogs to track is worrying. Also the distance some of these people travel through in such a short period of time is almost impossible. I've heard David paulides talk about the Stacy arris case and its the one that bothers me the most. And the park authority telling him he will NEVER get the details of the case?, it's horrifying. I have no idea what is going on. It is a VERY disturbing phenomenon.

This reminds me of what my lady tells me when i mention these missing people in the wilderness stories to her...shes from the Philippines and she tells me that back home they believe that there are entities or sprits that live in the trees from another demension and that when thier land are disturbed ,either by human devolpoment of by not respecting thier space they kidnap people or bring bad omens,,and only when they do prayers to the trees and knock on the trees ,will the missing people be returned or no harm be done. They also believe in the aswang,,half a body witch that flys and takes children..and to prevent that they pour salt around the windows n doors ,,believing that will hurt the witches half body wounds...maybe myths i dont know but interesting to see how these stories and the beliefs that american indians also tell stories of how in thier beliefs and tales about the forests and land almost match,,i just wonder how all these world myths from diffrent cultures coincide together,,wonder if theres truth to it all,,,kindve off subject from your story but again can they all be connected somehow? I have a question regarding the few people that were found shoeless. what was the condition of their feet? ie: did it look like they'd been walking anywhere barefooted? I would think that it would be evident considering how far away they were from where they disappeared. just wondering why that was never mentioned

Hi Dave, I believe in most of these cases, from what I've gathered listening to interviews with David Paulides, that that kind of information is strangely missing from the autopsy reports. I believe that's why it's hardly ever mentioned. It's damned weird stuff to be sure ! best regards, Paz.
@joeblack74976 жыл бұрын
Actually, David Paulides has reported that many bodies are found in water quite pristine in relationship to the time period amissing, this includes a mention or two of shoes/boots looking as though brand new or well conditioned for length of time amissing, and a mention or two of fairly clean feet, and as others have mentioned in other posts, feet worn down to bone, it is actually a strange evidence mixture....

I wouldn't hike the Appalachian or the P.C.T. without being armed! a firearm doesn't guarantee safety against wildlife but it definitely can make a difference against human abduction. just make sure it's loaded and easy to get to. not wrapped up and hid at the bottom of your pack. when I was younger I met some weird characters on the Appalachian trail. it was unsettling enough to cut the trip short. I wasn't about to fall into a deep sleep after a long day of walking knowing that would be the most vulnerable time for me. most people you would meet hiking are considerate and helpful but there are exceptions unfortunately. something is odd about some of the disappearances though...I'm more and more convinced not all are weather, accident, or human related. sad for the family and friends of the dead or missing.
@aldooze6 жыл бұрын
eme nem one thing david paluides suggests is a personal locator device. Still stay armed but stack the deck more in your favor with a locator, appearently people with those dont `vanish' as much.

al dooze I've seen videos of people setting those off and then nobody ever shows up for months. I mean it may very well be people just putting out troll videos being dick heads but then again I personally am not super comfortable with putting very much faith in any government entity to keep me safe... You know I really small part of me wants to experience what some of these people experience just so I know what's really going on... I don't believe in the Paranormal at all like not even a little bit but I'm happy to admit that there's some incredibly weird s*** going on with these cases and I want some damn answers lol

Might Be a Rapist i agree totallt with not counting ongovernment to be there when it counts. I also admit i too am curious what they went through out there. Ive always said one of my preferred method of of going is just..vanishing out in the woods. Nobody's sure if im gone or not. I know thats selfish but its my death and if you cannot be selfish then ,then when can you lol?
@asphalt-cowboy94796 жыл бұрын
al dooze haha yeah i hear you there. A huge part of me is trying to rationalize all of this stuff but if u look into the dave paulides cases there are way too many things that dont make sense and it honestly bothers me necaise i dont believe in virtually anything other than what would be percieved as "normal" or "real".. im agnostic, i dont believe in ghosts or sasquatch i do believe aliens exist though because well..i mran come on now the universe is flippin huge we cant be the only life. However i dont think they've been here. Either tht or they have and were like "damn bro, these guys are fucked" and never came back
