He didn't "show David". Although the Judges played along with the lad's perspective of the situation for the sake of banter and to be easy on him, David is the primary reason he became a good singer. When he first auditioned David said he needed lessons and he took lessons for 3 years, presumably. Notice he didn't come back after NOT taking lessons? It's almost like David knew what he was talking about and his advice was just that, advice. Good advice that transformed him from a mediocre singer to a great singer after a lot of work. I don't know where people get this crazy idea that the judges have it out for people, and just say no because they want to "keep good singers down", by rejecting them even though they're actually amazing. Even if the judges were the worst people in the world, they have every incentive to promote auditionees with actual talent, and no incentive not to.

We live in a world where people expect perfection when none of us are perfect, it is OK to give advise in order for improvement yet we need to be careful in the way we give advice so as not to discourage the person completely. He was hurt deeply by what was said. I am so happy that he came back to relieve the pain he was holding on to, he has an amazing beautiful voice well done young man.

people doubt Simon's talent, but he has some of the most well trained ears in the business... him being able to recognize another singer that would perfectly fill out a harmonic like for the New girls is an example of why he's in the business.

Something annoying about BGT and all other programs are that they show the contestant for 15 seconds, and then the audience, then the judges, then contestant for 5 seconds and so on. We want to watch the contestant for a bit first. It is very annoying and we are missing out alot of the act by the cameramen filming others.
