Leuke docu!! 🤘
@theadvocate68992 жыл бұрын
Prachtig !!! 😀
@raymondhartmeijer93002 жыл бұрын

A funny story: A couple of years ago I just happened to think about a video I had on VHS when I was a young child. I didn't know anything about it but I thought it would be fun to hear it again, so I tried searching for it on KZbin. I remembered a frog singing and playing guitar, so I tried searching for "frog singing" or something similar, but naturally the only results were Crazy Frog and stuff like that. So I tried to remember more about the song. I remembered that the singer's voice was quite distinct, and the more I thought about it, the more I remembered that it kind of sounded like a hardrock singer, like Dio or maybe Robert Plant. I didn't think it could actually be him, but I tried searching for it again and included Dio in the search. And I found it. It was this song. Kind of cool that I actually identified the voice in a song I hadn't heard for close to 40 years. It goes to show what a great impression Dio leaves you with.

I was born in ‘67, so I’ve known this song for practically my whole life. Quite simply, to me, this is one of my absolute favorite songs ever. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s one of the greatest songs ever, but it absolutely is one of my all-time favorites. In the top 10 certainly. And that’s thanks to the absolute joy and enthusiasm that pours out of the whole fabric of this song, every single second of it! Ronnie James Dio’s voice is amazing 🤩 The band plays with such gusto, it’s contagious, I’ve never listened to it without automatically getting a gigantic smile illuminating my whole face, heart, guts. And the cartoon: majestic, simply perfect! This is one for the ages.

Probably my favourite song ever sung by Ronnie... and I love Stargazer, Gates of Babylon, Children of the Sea, Neon Knights, Heaven & Hell, Die Young, Falling Off the Edge of the World, Voodoo, The Mob Rules, Holy Diver and The Last In Line... But honestly... Love Is All is the one I'd have on my desert island playlist if I had to pick one.

Such an underrated producer, I've always loved his production sound while it's hard rock it's also kind of cozy somehow like there's a warm fireplace close by, I don't hear similar qualities in many other producers' work that can sometimes seem cold or distant unlike Glover's.
