Around a month before Odyssey dropped, I unexpectedly helped friends with a lot of money in like an hour or two. Basically I told them to meet me in EZ Aquarii because I remember originally outfitting my ship there, it has a lot of A rated stuff so figured since they just started and it's not very far we can do high res farming there. Well, the moment I landed there I noticed something... a 50 mil wing missions requiring you to source some around 800 Tritium and bring it to the station. It costed me around 30 mil but I shared it with 3 friends and each got 50... Sounds like a fair trade. Then as soon as I finished that mission.... two more popped up. I did em all pretty fast in T9 since it required me to make one jump to reach the place where I can buy Tritium (all the mission required Tritium). In the end, I didn't make much, around 70-80 mil (because of stuff that I had to buy), but they all had 250 mil each lol.

It is best to do a wing trade missions in a Imperial Cutter , and grind it up using , Pythons for trade missions, then before the python use a Asp explorer . and before the asp explorer use a Cobra . This is the best survival trade ships for escaping death and have good escape ability . These also happen to be ships that people enjoy flying the most.

Also there're the Thargoid payout buffs, a basilisk with practice can go down in around 15 minutes and gives 24mil per kill. A wing of 4 decent ax pilots in an anti xeno conflict zone can get a few hundred million if you're lucky with the interceptor spawns. :D

Wing Trading missions go as far as 50M per mission and when you check systems in expansions state or systems owned by factions that are in expansion, chances are that there will be a wing mission asking to haul no more than a 1000 tons, we used to stack those missions in Colonia (you know - one jump to every populated system there makes runs really fast), sometimes making a billion cr in a day, if we felt like keep going after a few. I took a bunch of very easy transport missions and scanned systems on the way, always going to new places. This got me a Cobra in probably the second session, which is hardly a grind. Then I noticed that scanning systems often pays more than these little missions so I did enough more to get a DSS. Now I'm heading slowly for Robigo, scanning systems on the way (with my route plotted to include only fuel scoop stars since I already had to get rescued by the fuel rats). Occasionally I dock at some amazing star port and if I see a system which is already pre-discovered (highly populated) I take care to DSS Water, Amonia and Earth-like worlds. I've found planets that give me over 500k and systems of over 2.5m. It doesn't feel like a grind since I'm constantly seeing new planets, stars and amazing stations. If it's too grindy maybe you're doing the same thing over and over - why not try something else then?

Trade runs are still viable. Get an unshielded Cutter, look up loop runs on eddb, find one with 1-2 jumps of the ship, 8-12 min/run (depending on your flying skill), 23-40k profit per cargo unit, 120-250 mil/hr. Better to do when the profit margin is high, so it depends if you’re able to play at a certain time, but still highest profitability IMO.

I earned 8 Billions in two weeks with low effort doing stacking massacre missions and AFK bounty hunting at (Low) Resource Extraction sites. @@markvman4287 Stacking is taking missions for the same kind of target from different factions, allowing you to have each kill count for every mission you have. E.g., if you get a "Massacre Kwattrages Brotherhood" missions from both Kwattrages Labor and Ice [Something] Legion and then kill a KB pirate, the kill will count for both missions (the same does not happen if you take two massacre missions from the same faction). Get 5 missions from 5 different factions and each kill will count for 5.

I think Anti xeno combat is very profitable. For example cyclopses pay 8mil each in 10minute long fights. Its almost a million every minute. And if you wing up and kill a hydra you can get 60mil for a single kill. Yes it needs skill and a heck a a lot of grind before you can start but its insane fun and money.

I do trade stuff in Odyssey. There are some missions for 900ish bertrandite paying 30-50mil, same with Indite and some others. Technically 'mining' missions, but you can buy the stuff from somewhere cheap. If you factor in the cost of buying you're still often making around 30-60k per tonne, so it does fill up the money sack.

I see him pop online every once in a while, but only for about half an hour or so. I guess just long enough to grab some random piece of footage to use in a video. Still, I fail to understand why no one mentions one of the best ways to make silly amounts of credits so long as you have a high-capacity cargo ship; bulking trading Agronomic Treatments. I can make an average of $21 million in profit per haul in my Cutter with a round trip usually taking no more than ~8 minutes. You could use a Type-9 instead, but it's next to impossible to evade an interdiction with that thing.

@@evasuser You have a valid point, as that is exactly what I do with my trading Cutter when I run into the occasional interdiction. However, my trading Cutter can hit 500m/s+ in a second with boost, even with a full cargo load, and be out of weapons range of the pirate by time they decide to actually fire at me. A Type-9 would struggle to hit 300m/s while empty much less with a full load, and a pirate Anaconda can match that and keep the Type-9 mass-locked all while shooting it to pieces. Not exactly what you want to happen when you're running shieldless to maximize cargo capacity. Granted, you can get some engineered hull armor and not worry about the terrible jump range (not to mention the cost) if you have your fleet carrier parked right next to the station where you're buying/selling acting as your goods depot and system-to-system transport for mass goods trading, like I do. But otherwise, it's almost as much trouble for a Type-9 to submit and try to jump away from an interdiction than it is to fight the interdiction in the first place.

I was out exploring at Beagle Point and found a fleet carrier there and had the bright idea of selling my data there and docking my conda there so I could self destruct and spawn back at the bubble, *completely* forgetting about how much it would cost to transfer it back. Found out that this doesn't work as you end up clipping a NPC and then the police blow you to smithereens. You do have to keep an eye on it, but if you park yourself off a ☠ nav beacon you can make about 40mill before you have to cut and run.

AFK T10 still works in Horizons, but do not try it if you play in Odyssey due to a current bug that leaves ships you do not attack as neutral, allowing them to attack you without your ship or your fighter recognizing them as hostile.

Keep an eye out for winged sourcing missions. Sometimes they save way more time and they pay out could be 4-5 times higher than transport missions. Especially with a wing that can split the cost is ideal

Because Fdev does nothing against cheaters these guys can now sell you an acoount with all ships and fleet carrier some billions in your account and even with mats. But it gets really expensive. In 2 days you get everything without grind.

1 left out thing I found most helpful for Exploration. Go do your thing, scan as many systems as you can for as long as you still feel like you can do it for, then when you get back to the bubble, rank up to lvl 5 with Li Yong-Rui and you get 200% bonus on your exploration data when you cash in.

I made a fortune doing community goal last week.. not always the best but full load in a cutter was getting 50 mil.. pain in the arse finding supply close to drop point.. but if you have a fleet carrier.. find a spot the other side of the bubble where noone else is and fill up.. then jump back to near the drop location and ferry it in. 30 loads = 1.5B.. 1 load was 15 x2 minutes (times 2 cos you have to get it from market to the carrier then from the carrier to the destination.. ) 100,000,000 per hour.. cheap easy (and fucking boring but it works) not the same every week though.. but definitely worth doing..

I pity the players who did not play the game when ltd was the meta and then tritium and the EGG! Boy oh boy so much money ppl made, that is one of the reason you see thousands of carriers in game, even if fdev never intended so many to own carriers. Good luck with todays methods to get that much money. But if u have a wing of 4 cmnd who know how to fly, u can make some good money if all 4 have cutters, that way u can transport cargo fast and complete many missions together. Me and my pals did this bf the oddysey and now all 5 of them have carriers and i think 5+ bill extra. But alas they stopped playing the game, bc after so much grind for money the new dlc only had more grind.

Combat related I can say ground combat is relatively easy on early levels. But you can't go as is: you'll need a dominator grade 3, and my weapons of choice are the Aphelion for shields, manticore intimidator and tormentor for sidearm. At least g 2. All of these are fairly common in outposts or station shops.

Yeah Mining can be insane. The most insane method was one that only lasted a couple weeks iirc , Triple overlap , Subsurface , Low Temp Diamonds , with the SLF fighter glitch/exploit mining , the numbers were insane like at least 300 mil an hour going up to 500-600 iirc. Though the SLF exploit/glitch got patched but even after that Subsurface LTD mining was pretty damn good until it got nerfed. But I still prefer broken stuff like that then the horror of money grinding that were the pre chapter 4 days

I was earning an average of 10m credits per deployment with just grade 3 equipment--and not even my ideal loadout--completely unengineered except for the engineering that came with it (like extra backpack space on a Dominator suit... completely useless in combat deployment). I'm not even that good of an FPS player. If you can find a station orbiting a planet with a high intensity combat zone (minimizes deployment and return time), you could easily make upwards of 50m per hour with very little investment whatsoever. We're talking around 15m credits--which you can easily get with just a few high intensity deployments with grade 1-2 Dominator suit and weapons. Those can easily come from medium intensity deployments, starting out at 1m each with just flight suit and default pistol and then going up to 2-2.5m once you get a full loadout.

I can move all my ships and modules 500ly in one jump. Money is easy enough to make and the upkeep is peanuts. I made most of mine with the AFK build lol, don't have to worry about upkeep for 3 years. I can also refuel, repair, sell exploration data anywhere. And if I need mats, I can just set up a buy order. And I can mine anywhere without having to visit a station and store it all. Absolute game changer. It's also a great base of operations for squadrons and friends. Maybe learn to think for yourself?

Yeah FDev still haven’t nerfed it (yet). I just picked one up just the other day when I didn’t want to pay for I rebuy, so I just went to Hutton and picked another Conda up. You still have to permanently swap the ship you’re in so choose wisely what ship you travel in.

@@george0673 Find producing solar systems that sell cobalt and silver cheap, then sell it in a neighbouring System or at stations in the same system that pay a high price for it. Sometimes players also sell gold on their carrier super cheap.

What's your current ship? If you grind a bit for a slightly better jump range, you can cut it to like 25 jumps. I swear to you it's worth it, I started playing a week ago and I already have enough to buy a FDL and an anaconda

I’m still making about $60m PER TRIP on Robigo with my python filled with cabins . Each trip takes 12 minutes so about $300m an hour.

The missions are refreshed every 15 minutes. Pls multiply your round trip profit by 4 to calculate an average hourly profit.

@@TheYamiks my original account, the same co worker who talked me into starting in elite. Well he offered to carrier boost me after i got my triple elite rank. Two weeks after i bought my own fleet carrier i got an e mail informing me i was permanently banned for “real world trading”. Said friend in question? Not even a warning. Now short of repairs i dont even dock with the things. Its was a few months ago now, just before the Odyssey release. The new account is doing well, learning from past mistakes and all.
