The first place which is described as an Englishman's, (ex-Nazi sympathizer) Island Mansion on Darby Island. It lies in the Caribbean sea (but more precisely in the Bahamas). During the narrative the narrator said that Nazi Submarines could come in close as there were a lot of "Caves" around the Island. That word "Cave" is not the word he saying but you have to listen closely for the correct word. The word he saying is "CAYS"... which are small, low lying islands (islets which are basically sand bars or coral reefs with greenery on them). Since the Island is now the possession of the Bahamian government and not England, anyone buying this $39 Million white elephant would certainly be paying enormous taxes on it because land is a premium asset to this Island nation that's slowly disappearing as the world's oceans are rising due to Global warming.

We are so sorry, Tammy. Side note: I don't see as many shitty comments a0 as I thought I would. b) as I remember there being the other day. You're totally correct though. People (and I'm one of them) seem to think that the screen/keyboard combo is like a stealth gizmo and that behind it they can be giant assholes with impunity. Some days I have to go back and delete my assholishness just to save face and because I no longer agree with myself. Haha. This time I was pointing out, albeit sarcastically, a huge issue with times and dates that had nothing to do with his voice. However: The voice is pretty funny. Breeze through the comments and I don't think you'll find a "This dude has a cool voice."

I hardly think John O'Groats counts as a strange place to live! Especially just because of the fact it is cold and at 1 end of the "end to end" walk. Furthermore, close to junction 25/26 (I think, correct me if I am wrong) there is a farm in between the 2 sides of the M62 motorway. Surely having a fully working farm in the middle of a motorway should merit its inclusion of this list - most likely at the expense of John O'Groats.
@lisabernthal43733 жыл бұрын
The scriptwriter is not much better than the narrator. He tries to use "big" words, but continuously uses them incorrectly. There is no such thing as a lucrative mansion.

John O’Groats is NOT the most Northern point in mainland Britain - Dunnet Head is. JOG is the North Eastern Corner and furthest point from Land’s End. Caithness is not nearby - Caithness is the county that JOG is in! No body lives in the colourful buildings shown in the video, but tens of people live in the surrounding houses. As someone born and bred and brought up in Caithness I was very excited to see one of our own included in the video, but disappointed at the inaccurate facts!
