Lol, if you have such thoughts while driving, that means the car is in a shitty condition. I drove my father's Lada 2101 from 1973 with 140km/h for at least a half of 350km distance with no any problem. Felicia in comparing with Lada is autobahn car, so should easily handle up to 170-180km/h, if the motor allows it.

@@pepapacalaj3318 It depends. Usually, the 68PS 1.3, the 1.6 and 1.9 had rev counters. The 54PS 1.3 usually had the clock, unless the buyer payed extra. Interesting is that in the 1.6, the instruments had a different font and the revcounter was 1 2 3 4 5 6... x1000/min, not 10 20 30 40....x100/min.

this channel is getting better and better :)) regards to the car, you can really see how shitty the engines were back then. I mean, this has 70hp but it is way slower than a tiny 1.0 3 cyl new box car with 60 horses. and sounds like a diesel.

This engine has already seen 26 years of use und I asume mostly short distance drives where the engine doesnt even get to operating temperature, which increases wear. So ofcourse its going to run rougher than a brand new engine and from its 68 horses, there are maybe 55 or so left, so ofcourse its also going to be slower. Factory statement was 13.5 sec 0-100 which isnt that slow for a car of that class and 26 years later, it takes 16.5 sec.

@@Jack233 This engine was always lazy. It is just a bit upgraded engine from 1964 with upgraded head and MPI fuel injection instead of carburetor. And it never did 0-100 in 13.5, in reality it was around 16sec. It is just easy and cheap low reving OHV engine made fully from aluminium.

I have a 1,3 MPI 50kw 2000 Felicia. It's my first car. Cheap price, cheap services, small size you can park almost everywhere, very reliable, 170km/h max speed i have see. Not bad for a 21 year old car!! And with Bilstein b4 shock absorber i have install, it can run very fast at corners!

10 years ago, I went to see the Frankfurt car show in my Felicia with this very same engine and year. I decided to test the maximum speed. So i went up to 180kph on the dash and in doing so, I overtook a Porsche, who was doing about 120. He could barely believe what just overtook him :D

I have done this. I was driving my Felicia as fast it was possible, 160-170km/h, and i overtake a BMW 5series late 90's, an Audi TTS an Audi RS4, all of them were going about 120 on the highway, but the driver of the RS4 accelerated to see if it was a golf Mk3. When he saw a Skoda Felicia he laughed a lot made a sign of hello you are awsome and reduce his speed. Usually i go 90-110 max. 1.3mpi 50kw, 2000 model.

Funny thing is, when I sometimes drive 1.6 Felicia Combi (55kW) and 1.6 Octavia Combi (75kW), I think the Felicia has better elasticity when is comes to highway, than the Octavia :D... Might be with the weight of the car, but still..

Miałem kiedyś Skodę z 96 roku. Przez okres stu tysięcy km, wymieniłem amortyzatory z tyłu, rozrząd, klocki hamulcowe, regulator napięcia alternatora. I dwie cewki od zapłonu. Tyle napraw. Olej wymieniałem co 10tys.i świece zapłonowe. Poszła na złom bo nie zadbałem o blachy. Ale kupiłem drugą z 98r. I jeżdżę nią cały czas. Skoda Felicia to samochód nie do zajeżdżania . Niema super komfortu jazdy ale jest klimat, bo ten samochód ma to coś .. pozdrawiam serdecznie wszystkich fanów Skody.
