One of the main features of Grubb’s offense is getting passes out quickly, and that should help the offensive line. Reports from training camp are that Geno is already dialed in executing Grubb’s offense and that the offense is looking much sharper than it has at this stage in recent years.

Yes he is to both white hot & super underrated. I took my son to watch practice Friday and Geno looked in season form already. DK did as well doing multiple reps of end zone corner drills and sideline catch drills. Was dope to watch! JSN looked rusty, but I’m sure he will knock it off. Heard he did yesterday. Some white TE was balling out too besides K9, Geno, and DK. Woolen horse collared a bro, that was a wtf moment.

Since he became a starter, I e been a fan of Geno. Anyone who knows football and can just be object can see he's a top 10 QB. How many seasons does he have to play before people will stop waiting to see if he can play as good as his last. And, of course he can take the Hawks to a Superbowl. Experts-Schmexperts... Murph, there are only a precious few who turn out content that actually ever been in a huddle or watched game film. I value how you give it to us straight and how you call out those who are full of crap. Geno does throw a pretty ball, his accuracy is as good as any, and he moves Very well. Last year's line had Injuries, Growing pains, and several players who were counted on, but cannot find any NFL roster this year. We don't have to say more. Even with that challenge, Geno's end-game has become legit (5 forth-quarter comeback wins in 2023 alone). Most importantly, the weight-room work proves he is taking 2024 as serious as ever. Give the man a quality line to go with that 'DK-light' physique, the Hawks might be playing it closer than anyone thinks in the NFC West.

I believe that Geno could be one of the better QBs in the league if the O-line was even league average. I’m not really a PFF guy, but they have them currently ranked at 31. It’ll depend on coaching from Huff, Grubb, and of course the health of the O-line but I think they can get there.

Hearing about how quickly he's getting the ball out in this camp, maybe that was more on coaching than on Geno. 4500+ yards 30+ TD season coming from Geno. Let's go!!

I don't like that analysis. Geno's a known anticipatory passer, but people still have to actually get open, too. His No. 1 WR isn't a known route runner and works a ton of long-developing concepts and will cry and throw him under the bus with poor body language if he doesn't get the ball. What's he supposed to do check down most of the time? You guys would destroy him if he was a super check down type QB, too. 5th-highest pressure rate on dropbacks. Wilson always wanted to hit the home run, but that doesn't seem to be Geno's M.O.

@TopBillinSports sometimes throwing the ball away, avoiding the hit or sack, is worth it over the course of the season. Especially in the offense Seattle had last season. That's where my mind is on this one. There were a lot of drives last year that he'd take an unnecessary hit or sack on early downs, not always his fault obviously but there were plenty of times he could have helped himself by throwing it away. The point of my comment was that it wasn't always clear if it was completely the scheme or Geno that created that mindset of holding onto the ball til the last millisecond. The early reports of camp are making it seem like it was more of a scheme issue than a Geno one. Hence, my excitement and positive prediction for his season. When Geno is on, there's only a tiny handful of QBs I'd take over him in the NFL right now. Hopefully, Grubbs' new scheme makes it easy for Geno to get in a rhythm early and often. Love your content. @@tommyjames2448 - I think that's vague. There were times where I'd put the timer on, and he'd get sack damn near right after the apex of his drop steps and people would still cry about it. Throwing the ball away and not attempting to make a play would have fans calling him a coward as well. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Traditionally, guys who held onto the ball, like Ben Roethlisberger, were deemed tough guys or "one of the guys," whereas those who were quick to throw the ball away were deemed "skittish" and "soft." Geno is an accurate passer in the quick- and mid-range game, so it's not like he doesn't have that in his arsenal, so it appears he wants to make a play for his team. He's going to get criticized regardless, so he may as well go down swinging.
