I wish this kit was available here in the states. Voles are making a mess of my yard, undermining steps and walls. The other method with using a bucket over some traps has not worked at all, they just dig a new hole outside of the bucket.

Bought the trap almost a year ago to catch/voles or moles - only couldn't catch a thing. Reluctantly I bought the hole maker - still didn't catch a damn thing. Finally after several tries and feeling like an idiot - I carefully choose the tunnel and baited the trap with some of those Sweeny's peanut poison pellets and waited >> I checked my trap today and it caught a mole by the paw. I could not believe my eyes - finally! I hauled him out and killed it with an ax. I reset the trap and hope it won't take as long again as these things are wrecking my lawn. Thanks for the good information about how to properly use the Top Cat.

I like how you dont need to dig a huge hole in your lawn to use this contraption. Other traps seem to need you to dig big chunks of turf to use them, making an even bigger mess of your yard. It's counter productive.

@verdatum6 жыл бұрын
This is a beautiful design. Simple and clearly deadly. 2 tubes, a couple sheets, a couple cuts, and a spring. You could potentially have something just as effective made from plastic tube and save quite a lot of money without losing effectiveness. Of course, it's all about sourcing the stock material.
@bvblacksmith6 жыл бұрын
I got this trap before seeing your video and it‘s brilliant. Caught 4 voles with it already, should’ve got two traps. If you live in Switzerland, Landi is selling these traps.

I once had a vole get into my house. As it ran across the room, I thought it was a mouse . I already had a teeter-totter no-kill mouse trap. The vole was longer than a mouse. He could stane with his hind end outsied of the trap and lick the bait out of the cup without trapping himself. I had to get a small HAVAHART trap for the vole - it's big enough to catch a squirrel or skunk or maybe even an underweight groundhog.
