Damn, congrats. This has been my favorite TDC car, and just car from all of the AutoAlex channels. I own a 2007 350z in the US, 6MT coupe in Daytona Blue. It's been good, just put it away for the winter to avoid rusting it out. Finding the radiator support presents the biggest issue with these HR 350z's, which is that not every part/mod will fit the newer cars. Not just for engine or transmission, but also 2006 and up had a different interior, different bumper and so on. Finding a fuel distributor for my Z, I had to source it from a 2013 Infiniti since the HR motor only came in Longitudinal applications whereas the DE could fit in transverse applications. Good luck, Will. I'm rooting for ya

To get 100bhp (20%) gain on my 5.0 V8 NA Mustang it took an entire exhaust, long tube headers, intake manifolder, throttle body, air intake, air filter, injectors, a fuel pump and a tune. It would have been cheaper to supercharge it and make 65% power gain. Unfortunately driving a 700bhp RWD on our roads, with our weather would be like watching an amateur perform muppets on ice.

Since most people except for hardcore tuners only understand BHP, the rolling road measures WHP, and then lets instructs the tech, to let the car roll in neutral. It measures the rolling resistance, and adds the two numbers together. So the number you (should) see on the diplay SHOULD be comparable to the manufacturers BHP claim. (SOME rolling roads even adjust the number to weather conditions)

I would suggest putting in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner (Redex). It can usually free up to 10HP in NA cars and it’s extremely cheap. Easy to do within your remaining budget. Loving the series guys, keep it up!

The headlights try using 400 grit sandpaper all the way up to 2000 and then cut, will make them way clearer. Bumper off using an orbital sander would be the best. You can go lower or higher grit depending on the condition and scratches, i did 180 grit on a polo healight that got into a battle with a wall and it turned out like new

While I enjoy setting right the wrongs, it'd be funny if you did the reverse. Make a car as NFSU as possible in a limited budget. Unfortunately, such a challenge also destroys a car's resell value. 🤷‍♂ And yes, the old exhaust appeals to my inner boy racer but this new one is more suitable for a daily. Since it's Will's car and all. Remember though, microphones rarely pick up all of the details of sound. If they say it sounds better, then I trust their opinion. Curious to see what you do to the Boxster, it's already a good car as far as I'm concerned.

Here's a funny lil fact. 350z's (any type with the projector lamps) have the LOUDEST headlights. I mean it. You flip the high beams on and they go KA-CHUNK. It's loud enough to hear with windows up.
