It wasn't THAT long ago that these sorts of cameras sold for $30,000-$50,000. Amazing how much prices have come down.
@jakob.k_design Жыл бұрын
yeah the resolution offered at that price is pretty stunning.

Glad to see your review of this. Been looking at this one and the infiray t2s which is about $100 more. Tough decision whether the manual focus is all that necessary, though these are good for other uses as well and the t2s might provide a little more flexibility.

I've had this camera for a month or so, I highly recommend it and its a great price. It has a range of uses, plus as you have mentioned they are releasing a new windows app in the new year with a range of new features.

Ah yes, let us all buy on promises of "it's going to be better". Trusting an overseas manufacturer who's out to make money, by believing their sales pitch is, I'd suggest, embarrassing. Not that this is aimed entirely at you Christopher, as LER seems to be rather keen to share the love for stuff he's sent for free, encouraging others to spend their cash on "well, it's going to be better"...

Still over $300 for me here in Canada. Not happening... Yet. Looks pretty decent picture wise though. One thing about screen stutter, check the ATI settings (if that's what's being used. Maybe Nvidia has the same). I had similar issues with my digital microscope and set the one setting to gaming and it solved the issue.

Bought one of their stand alone IT camera “guns” last week. It’s ok but a shame that the optical camera is too low res so you can’t easily tell what you are looking at. I like the white outline from the flir pro
@LearnElectronicsRepair Жыл бұрын
What res was that one? You can see at 256x192 small components such SOT23 and little SMD capacitors were easy to recognise individually. I would be quite happy using this one for repair work on motherboards GPS etc where you have a high density of small SMD components. Sure it isn't as sharp as the thermal imagers with macro lens, but it is a lot easier to use and a good bit cheaper too. I've also tried the FLIR One Pro but it was a lot more expensive and a lower resolution 160x120

@@LearnElectronicsRepair I’ve decided to return it and get this one. I made a point of trying to use your link in case you get something but it’s not working. If you can fix it in the next 3-4 hours I can use it.
@cowasakiElectronics Жыл бұрын
The thermal resolution was the same but it has an optical resolution that is only about VGA so the image isn’t great and you can’t even pick out individual mosfets on a new pc motherboard that are about 12mmx12mm
@cowasakiElectronics Жыл бұрын
@@LearnElectronicsRepair The optical resolution was low and the IR resolution isn't as high either ITC629 220x160 It is nice to have a stand alone gun BUT I need something that highlights small components. IR cameras are such a game changer for locating shorts etc as you have pointed out!

Although the Hti-H19 looks good! It's so difficult to find the optical resolutions on them though!

Hi Richard. After your 'car booty' review a couple of weeks ago, I was wondering if you would be able to get into the box or not :-) Just for comparison, what is the resolution of the camera you normally use? I was looking at cameras a couple of weeks ago and surprised how low the resolution was on a lot of them.

I use several cameras on the channel The one above the bench is a USB 1080p 30fps C Mount Camera with a 5mm-50mm manual zoom lens - this one www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003785971876.html?af=ler2022 The one on my trinocular microscope is USB or HDMI 1080p 60fps - but I only record at 30fps The one I am currently using as the face cam is a piece of shite fake logitech webcam that is due to go in the bin The one I use for inset shots (multimeter, bench psu, oscilloscope etc) is 1080p 60fps webcam - this one www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004112028738.html?af=ler2022 I recently bought a 1080p USB3 capture card - the 60fps version www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002455007252.html?af=ler2022 I am now using this to capture video from any PC or motherboard I work on, for example I used to to record the IR Windows app in this video, and also from the AD407 HDMI microscope I reviewed a few videos - you can see this in action on the 'Burnt PCB' video to great effect! I have coming in the post from aliexpress a 2K webcam - this one www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004476712926.html?af=ler2022 And I also bought a Logitech Brio Ultra HD Pro which the wife is picking up for me in the UK when she visits next week - this one www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Business-Conferencing-Recording-Streaming/dp/B01N5NYRES/ref=sr_1_4_mod_primary_new I also ordered an LED fill light to try when it arrives - this one www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003631209167.html?af=ler2022 I will use one of these to replace the shite logitech and the other so I can have two inset video windows (for meter, scope etc) at the same time as well as the face cam

Thanks for the detailed response. It was more regarding the thermal camera. The one in the review appears to have far greater definition in comparison to thermal views in your other vids. I would just like to add that the knowledge you share with us is greatly appreciated. I especially appreciate the explanations on how the circuits work and the content on the different classes of amplifiers was a real pleasure to learn from. Keep well and i hope Santa gets you the big boy toys you deserve.

@@ianhewitt1858 Oops sorry for the crossed lines, This one is 256x192 at 25Hz which I mentioned in the titles and you can clearly see small components such as SOT23 transistors and SMD capacitors. The other camera I liked is the T2S+ which is exactly the same resolution and frame rate but more expensive and has a manual focus macro lens that is trickier/more fiddly to use but does focus much closer to the PCB. Swings and Roundabouts as I mentioned in the video. Are you in the UK? My wife is going over for a few days at the end of the week and I may be persuaded to sell one of my practically unused thermal cameras for a very good price. 😉electronicanaria@outlook.com

There is a clicking/ticking sound that comes from the actual device while in use. Is this normal or is mine defective?
@speedlever Жыл бұрын
I’ve read that’s normal for thermal cameras and is when the camera is recalibrating itself.

The links work fine for me. The UK one gives me a price and discount code, the US one says currently unavailable but TopDon tell me this is because I am in a region that Amazon US don't deliver to. Let me know which link you are trying to use and where you are based and I can ask them tomorrow to fix it for you

Hi, i need to replace some 1R00 resistors on a LG stereo power supply. The only ones i can see online are from China. However i know these are 1ohm smd resistors and others are available in my country. I am not certain if they are suitable, for example: Bourns 1Ω, 0603 (1608M) Thick Film SMD Resistor ±1% 0.1W - CRL0603-FW-1R00ELF Its the +1% 0.1W I am unsure about, how do I differentiate between the different types of Bourns 1ohm 0603 ? Thanks
