At first i was just amazed how xiaomi can produce quality phones that doesn't cost u an arm and a leg. I got the redmi note 7 when it first came out and it still function like a champ. Was planning on getting myself a newer one but after comparing each of the newest model i decided to just keep using my old phone. Almost all specs are close to being identical. Nothing new, same look, and nothing the older models cant really do. Until they make a phone that stands out and different from the previous ones they made... I ain't buying. Great review👍

I’m completely happy with my redmi 5 plus but the charge port has worn out and is getting difficult to keep the plug from falling out so that’s the only reason I’m replacing it hopefully the newer usb type c plugs are more durable they seem to be anyway.

The focal length of the lens and the f-stop appear to be different. The 9S has a wider angle. This will account for any apparent difference in zoomed-in image quality. The 9S seems to be slightly over-exposing (or the 9Pro underexposes) This can probably be adjusted in the settings or photos can be edited, Also, you did not say how far you zoomed in - anything over 100% will reduce image quality in any camera.

Hi, i am no camera expert but i had the two phones set to their respective max mp modes so that's 48mp for the Note 9s and then 64mp for the Note 9 Pro. They are both at 26mm and I had the AI turned off.

@PTD, figured out the charging issue at 2:20. . Phone is heating-up and so charging speed is reduced. I chilled my phone in an air conditioned room then charged it (also in an air conditioned room). Started at 30W then slowly dipped to 25.6W over the course of ~2min or less. . When phone is turned off. charging is consistently at 30W but the phone gets uncomfortably hot after ~20min . I have redmi note 9 pro 64gb (global version) bought from lazada 6-6 bounce back sale and an omni power meter.

Pretty much the same performance. Very soft images during night time. Night mode is ok. Lets in more light/uses long exposure but still nothing impressive.

Ah for the charging issue , I think your phone was enough charged already that's. Why it switched to a less fast charging , if your phone was low on battery it will actually fast charge , this is common for most phones , in the beginning they fast charge so the battery gets filled fast , after a certain percentage it slows down for less heat and to preserve battery health

Hmmm... I know the SD 665 on the A92 is super old but it actually has nice optimization for games. HOWEVER, the 720G on the Note 9 Pro will get there eventually. So future proof wise, Note 9 pro. Also price wise din if the 9 pro is cheaper, thats a better option

Hello, I am looking for a KZbin camera and I was undecided whether 9s or 9 pro. I read a lot of tests and have to say that yours was one of the best for me. No, it was the best. Since I also record in 4k with 2.7, I still have some leeway in post production. Use a Gimbal Smooth 4. But just your advice, only if you are soomed will you find a difference. I don't care much about NFC or am a prolific camera user but i still bought the Pro because the difference in price between them for me was just 20 euro. I was aiming for 6GB and 128GB Rom for both. At that level the 9S was 230 cheapest while the 9 Pro was 250. I think the difference was just too small to not get the benefits.

Great review. However, video title is a bit misleading. Should've been camera comparison and not just "VS". I did not get what I've been looking for, like the performance of it. I know on paper they have the same specs and all. except the charging watt. But on some of Facebook pages, there are some who claims thas 9s has a tendency to over heat and lag even tho they have the same SoC, you should have at least added a bench mark test or something. Nonetheless, great and honest camera review. You made me subscribe hahaha

Appreciate the feedback, TJ! I wanted to include a performance comparison initially but after testing both phones for a few weeks, there just wasn't any difference with the units I was reviewing. Pretty much the same. Although with the note 9s, during the first week of its release, my friend who also reviews phones did experience random wifi disconnections from time to time. But this was addressed during a firmware update.

nice.. thank you.. i'm planning to buy the Note 9s this month.. I was deciding between these two.. in the end, the standard camera MP will still be the 12MP. we just need to switch mode to get the 48 or 64. Probably not going to use the 48MP often anyway.

I don't use the 48MP mode either. When I want to zoom, I just tap the 2X button. It takes really good pictures.
