No I never been to Belgium ...but my Great-Grandfather whom lived in Brussels, Belgium in the late 1800's after had living the Belgian Congo in Africa and moving to Belgium in the late 1800's. He came to America with my Great-Grandmother whom he met in Paris, France when he married her.

i was surprised to see sint-niklaas, i was born and still live there... i live at 5min walking distance from that shopping mall you went in sint-niklaas. im happy to see that you and your family enjoyed their stay here! and ofcourse enjoyed our food, chocolate and beers. thats why we are famous for :D next time go check out brugge (bruges) and gent (ghent) those are nice cities too!

thx for responding and yah sint-niklaas is nice. next time you have to come for the ''vredefeesten'' roughly translated : ''peace celebrations'' we celebrate peace on earth. its every september (sadly not this covid year tho) but its great for everyone, specialy for the kids... with ALOT of balloons, even the special shape ones go up, animation shows, live music concerts, fireworks, fair, foods and drinks ETC... the whole weekend long till late at night +- 3am! if the weather is good ofcourse :D you never know in belgium :D but you should google/youtube search ''vredefeesten sint-niklaas'' you'll see what i mean... sint-niklaas is balloon city ;)

8:20 - The cool thing about the food outlets around the Agoraplein is that despite them being in a super-touristy area, they are actually really good! I can highly recommend fries from Papy, right next door to Aux Gauffres de Bruxelles.
