He said that the back fins so the car looks "better" complaining about how "flat" it will look otherwise. Respectfully, take notes from the RB17, that car looks astonishing where as the FZero looks like it was built in Batman's cave. The one unique thing about the FZero is the custom engine shape and placement but the RB17 is miles ahead in term of design and finish.

I was the supervisor on Iron Gate bridge in Kaikoura as part of the NCTIR project after the earthquake in 2016. I flew to Christchurch and would drive the inland road past the Rodin facility every two weeks. The misinformation about what was going on at Rodin was epic!?! Everyone had a different story about what they did their and what they were trying to achieve. It is awesome to see the car finally “completed” or in its first iteration as any good race car is an evolution.

after watching this cars progress over the last few years, it's amazing to see it finally come to fruition. Rodin has been killing it recently, since acquiring the old T125 chassis' from lotus, and having drivers such as Red Bulls Liam Lawson help with development has really meant that they are at the top of the game when it comes to these track monsters. Can't wait to see one in the flesh, hopefully at next year's FOS!

The reason F1 teams spend so much money is because they are forced to make the car go fast despite the rules trying their best to make them go slower. If there were no rules in F1 they could have made the cars a lot faster than what they are today at a lot lower cost

5 axis mills are commonplace these days. I utilise this to my benefit by designing parts which require only fixturing once; this allows tolerances between features of 20um or so on all faces. This allows for less reliance on adjustment on the part to achieve accurate placement of features, and instead we can rely on dead-reckoning.

I remember reading about this car in EVO years ago and in the letters somebody was doubting that it would ever happen. But they were underestimating David Dicker when he goes for something he see's it through! The world is a better place with this in it! Can't wait till Olly drives it!

A close family friend used to own two, $500,000, GTP cars. From the side, it looks a lot similar, only with some Batmobile like extra bits. Pretty cool.

I was looking for this comment. Some people comparing it to the bat mobile, but it's literally called F-Zero. Someone on the team definitely played the game. That guy is definitely not doing all this on his own.

the front end is 100% Gran Turismo X2010, down to the way the cabin flips up and forward. it's like David said I want bits from this and bits from that, package it all together, make it lighter, and afterwards we'll work on the designs of certain elements for refinement. and with that kind of investment, and the ability to make a car FROM SCRATCH on site and be able to test it as well, why the hell wouldn't you? awesome stuff from the NZ neighbour.

I am honestly more impressed with the capabilities he has developed than the car. That motor package is quite an accomplishment. I sure hope he has a legacy plan for those facilities in his estate. NZ should slap some sense into European supercars like they do in sailing.

This guy should be an owner of an F1 team. Reminds me of Frank Williams. The right attitude and the willingness to take risk yet always run the calcs. Best of luck to him building his road cars. I also see some Gordon Murray mannerisms in him.
