Every Mortal Kombat game has been released in Australia MK9, is the only game in the series to be banned and it was only for a short time. MK9 did get released in 2013, after the R rating for video games was finally introduced.

I think what we learnt today is Mortal Kombat truly does stand the test of time and is a legendary series my opinion way better than Street Fighter I get the appeal behind Street Fighter but Mortal Kombat is on another level I mean I believe I Hurd the writer of Street Fighter doesn’t want Ryu in Mortal Kombat 1 because of getting fatality on but would say to still do MK Vs SF I mean come on also gotta still have Fatalities no matter what have Mileena eat Juri’s organs and Sub-Zero spin rip Ken and see Shao-Kahn to go against M.Bison all of that actually I think a MK, SF and Tekken crossover would be legendary

and to think Slimy Joe was almost Vice President, not to mention he and Gore intending to topple Saddam anyway. on a side note, Lieberman was parodies in Enernal Champions 2. sadly Sega cancelled Eternal Champions 3 in favour of Virtua Fighter. in perhaps their worst decision(due to Sega being a primarily japanese company and their american branch losing), since axing Virtua Fighter would've caused the higher up in both branches to rethink their strategies and set corporate politics aside.

While I disagree with the leaps that many of these politicians were making, I do think that we can see some effects of MK exposure in our own lives. First desensitization. We no longer seem affected by the mass violence portrayed in MK games. Also generally the media you consume tends to affect your mood and spirit generally.

Heh heh. I only played the Genesis/Megadrive versions of MK growing up. When Trilogy came out for N64, I made an exception then. But yup. Sega was a whole different, grittier beast back then during the 16 bit era. Nintendo is mostly a G rated affair. Sega was often like PG to PG-13. Sony and Microsoft are usually like the R rating. Sega was my favorite though.

Quake was another one of my favs, the recent Quake 1 and II remasters are top tier. Hoping we get Quake 4 next and perhaps a new Quake, been ages since we've had a new Quake game.

SSRIs turn of the part of your bring that tell you "No" you basically have no fear of anything. It's one of things that were studied during the 1980's Program "MK ULTRA" (no, the MK isn't for mortal kombat lol) The subjects were given tons of all kinds of drugs and train to automatically react with muscle memory, the method they used was video games. Trump wasn't talking about fighting games, he was talking about FPS in conjunction with STRONG Antidepressants. When i was offered them i turned him down, they wanted to make sure i had NO WEAPONS in my home and that I NOT play first person shooters. The Doctors who prescribe them know that they are dangerous. Personally i'd rather deal with alittle depression than not being allowed to have firearms to protect myself. It's one of the reason why Trans people are prone to offing themselves, because they're on a bad combo of drugs, an SSRI with a Hormone.. it won't end well. all you need is a fleeding idea that you aren't happy with your life.
