I enjoyed GBA TMNT Konami games more than their console versions, had no idea there was a 3rd game on DS. Shame I missed out, sprites still look great.

I enjoyed both console and handheld versions of the 2003 games, there is something for everybody in these versions, the console versions was for the new generation of fans by being introduced to the classic beat em up genre but this time in 3d across all three games, the first game being more of a classic beat em up with no changes from the 2d ones, the second one being more of a hybrid beat em up with platforming sections with less repetitive combat which I appreciate more and the third one being more similar to popular Action top down RPGS like X men Legends and Marvel Ultimate Alliance, but more arcade like (simple) and with multiple minigames to mix up the gameplay The handheld versions, while also appealing to new fans who only had cheaper systems (GBA), also appealed to older fans due to being more like the classic arcade games, which i Can see some fans like these versions

Regarding the 3D TMNT games based on the 4Kids version of the Turtles, along with animation taken from the TV show they also contain new 2D animation in the same style as the show created specifically for the game. One interesting game to come out of the Konami/Hudson collaboration was a Smash Bros. clone which featured their video game characters along with characters from toy company Takara, including Transformers Optimus Prime and Megatron.

The last days before Ubisoft got the license to make TMNT games. It’s funny, TMNT eventually found their way back to Konami and Ubisoft in the past few years in some way, they ended up back to Konami with the Cowabunga collection dropping soon and they ended up back under Ubisoft through Brawlhaulla. Funny how things work out that way, perhaps they’re destined to end up back with Activision in some way too.

Growing up with the original TMNT series, i do have a soft spot for the 2003 series (Before the season when they ended up going into the future which I lost interest). I thought it was pretty good for what it was and during that time, I was just about to graduate from high school. However, was it my favorite incarnation of the turtles? No, but I appreciated it. I really LOVED the 2012 series because they actually made the turtles look and act more like actual teenagers, (kids) and watching that series with my little ones currently made them fall in love with the turtles just as I did when the original series was airing. the 2003 TMNT games were hella awesome though lol.

Whether you're a greater fan of the 1987 series or the 2003 series, the important part is that we can all agree that The Next Mutation was the worst series to carry the TMNT license.

While I can't speak of the console games based on the 2003 series, I can speak for the portable games, The first 2003 game I felt like it was the most well made of the 3, granted it was extremely short, but I had a nice time with it, the character sprites were very detailed, the animations were pretty nice, feels good to beat the snot out of foot soldiers, purple dragon members and even the monsters from the underground and one of my favorite ost's in the entire gba library. Battle nexus gba: I enjoy the little moments of stealth you have to do before you find your weapons to beat enemies, brings a little mgs sort of feel to it, the music, while the sound instrumentation is a bit weaker, I still enjoy it quite a bit, even if they were from the console versions of the game, and a double edged sword: I appreciate the game is longer, but it goes criminally insane with the difficulty near the end, still a blast to play. Mutant nightmare ds: forced touch screen gimmicks aside, they are okay since it was an early ds game, combat is still good and even having the option to summon the other turtle to assist is nice, nothing really new, but good, more voice samples of the turtles is a bonus to have, I like the structure of the story staying true to the name, reaching to the nightmares of each turtle before facing ultimate draco and personally the soundtrack is great, I love the gallery theme to this very day. Overall konami's take on the 2003 turtles games, while not as beloved as the earlier classics, I say they're pretty fun.

To be honest I would pay 149$ for the Cobawabunga Collection because in a way it's patreon to help the Konami company not die out. And he'll throw in Shredders Revenge for another $149$ I'll pay just to keep Konami alive.

80's and 90's toons seems to fill most of the nostalgia cup. But despite only feeling like they came out a few years ago, stuff like TMNT and Jackie Chan Adventures made that early 00's period pretty damn decent.

TMNT 3 on PS2 is my actual first game, and I thoroughly enjoyed. It's awesome enough for kids my age back then, and the final transformation of the Turtles were just the pinnacle of awesomeness for my 6y.o's eyes

I really liked this game. I used to do runs with each turtle to make it as far as I could, and when I got Game Over, switch to the next one and do the same. To see with whom I could beat it first. I think it was Mikey or Raph, can't remember. But amazing game!

Awesome vid. I never got a chance to play this game, but it looks great. Hudson made a game a couple years prior with some shared staff, Ninja Five-0 (Ninja Cop) on GBA, one of my favorites games on the system. Bonkers expensive these days for legit copies unfortunately, however.

This is the only official Turtles game I have never played. I like its PS2's counterpart and what the GBA did with the other games of the 2003 Turtles. I Will play this one soon.

What I find remarkable is if you Binge Watch the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from beginning to the Last episode. They do tie each other in GOOD ENOUGH to be watchable.

As a 87 Turtles fan, I tried the 2003 series but didn't like it. I thought I was done with the Turtles until the 2012 series, then it renewed my love for the franchise. Played a lot the old school games (specially THAT NES game, lol) but never tried these 21st century titles. Maybe it's time to taste something "new".

That's ironic. That was my take. When the 2003 series was airing, I was in my early 20s so couldn't get into it because it felt like it was taking itself much too seriously, so I've never given it a fair chance. I'm sure it was okay, and one day I will go back to it. The 2012 series did pull me back into the franchise, though. I liked the stories for that one and I also liked the many references in the series, which also included throwbacks to previous Turtles series including the 2003 series. It wasn't perfect, but it was okay and was entertaining. There were some things I did dislike, though...but didn't fully ruin the watching experience for me.

I loved the 2003 TMNT from 4Kids. I think it was far superior to the 80s version. Better theme song, animation, and characterizations. Though my opinion is colored abit by it being the one i watched live as it was airing. Before that i had mostly only seen TMNT 2: Secret of the Ooze (which i loved so much, i wore the VHS tape out lol). I had never heard of this game for it though. Looks fun.

I remember playing the one on gba a ton. I heavily disliked some levels though. My favorite had to be Raphaels storyline because he had a motorcycle level. Oh but Mikey had the skating level too idk. I just didn't like leonardo and Donatello levels
