Gonna be a big year for Turtles. Not only is there a collection coming, a significant one as long as KONAMI doesn't ruin it, and then others are handling a new turtles game. Think some days my nerve damage may be well enough I can enjoy it a bit. I wont be what I use to be, but might as well try and get some time in while I still can.

This game holds up surprisingly well, even better if you’re the type to pick up on subtle gameplay elements to get more out of games cause this game opens up hard when you learn that you can dash cancel out of everything which leads to infinites on most of the regular enemies and some nasty damage dealing strategies against bosses, I had way more fun with the game on my revisit than I did when I played it way back then because of that and I loved the game back then.

Only 2 player on a 4 player socketed system that only needed to spare gemoetry for two more turtles. The beginning of KONAMI starting to get stupid.

@@B33FY2011 Buy the physical "Streets of rage 4 anniversary edition" PS4 version and play it on your PS5, its dirt cheap now and has all the dlc included I'm saying this as the dlc is probably among the very best ive experienced. The "survival" mode which feel more like a Rouge like type of experience where you unlock a bunch of alternative/special moves for literally all characters , while tackling new locations and enemies (with new music) exclusive to that mode is extremely addictive and fun, plus playing with Shiva, Estelle and Max is an experience in itself.

The jump to 3D with TMNT is interesting. I liked the art style, but definitely agree with the in game banter. Loved the reboot series, game was fun too. I only rented but never finished due to some funky in game save data bug

I remember renting this from the video store(Hollywood Video) for GameCube back in the day, I loved it. This era of turtle animation wasn't my favorite at the time but I think it looks great now, especially compared to the bubbly, cutesy Turtles of today(they look super lame now)

Wait, I thought Raphael was 'Rembrandt'. Anyway, for what it's worth, this game is A decent enough (if repeditive) brawler. Though it would've been nice if it had 4 player co-op. However, the other two games would have that, but the second game implements it awkwardly. As well as some platforming that doesn't work. The third one at least gets the 4 player co-op right, but by that point, it was too little, too late.

Rembrandt is Rembrandt. He was a completely different person from any of the artists the ninja turtles are named after. I have no idea why THGM even said it. Side note: turtles are reptiles, not amphibians. Amphibians undergo metamorphosis to become adults, reptiles do not.

This the 2003 video game was a really good game. It was a great update and and really fun to play. I for one love playing through the storyline of whole season of the show and Konami still managed to keep it fresh with new twists and turns. These games are just as good as the DCAU Batman and Superman games that were made around that time. Unfortunately nostalgia derailed the sequels. The 2003 game was the only one in the series that didn't play to nostalgia. Battle Nexus and Mutant Nightmare altered the controls to make them more like the 1989 arcade game and Turtles in Time respectively. It think that was really bad for Battle Nexus. The 2003 game the only one with really good character moves. I guess people just could get over the old games. A shame.

I used to owned this game for the Ps2, and as a TMNT fan from the 80s and 90s, I was excited about their return to videogames. At first glance, it looked, good, but after playing for a bit, I’ve found it to be extremely repetitive, and boring. It lacked the fast paced action and enemy variety from most of the previous games. I really tried to like this game, but I've ended up selling the game, even before finishing it. The DS Game was in my opinion, a far better effort.

The only issue i have with this game is that player 2 is not allowed to progress in any way. There are training levels where you can unlock new moves and abilities for each turtle, and even if you have unlocked them... player 2 cannot use them, now can player 2 enter the training levels to get them themselves. All the progress is for player 1 only, and total BS since it really holds back the multiplayer.

Ive been playing this with my gf for a while now, still havent beaten it imo it is the second best split screen game for PS2, losing only to The Incredibles Rise of the Underminer It is quite hard but simple and looks amazing in 1080p

Why does the red sky season get so much flack they were actually good. Way better than seasons 2 through 7 anyway. The animation was better the story telling was better, and it got back to what made the 1st season so good. Sure it had its silly elements and moments but that's par for the course for TMNT

@@RetroCrisis The original cartoon started out fine, but as it progressed, it got WAY too silly for it's own good despite having some clever jokes. By that point you couldn't take Shredder all that seriously, the schemes were getting too outlandish, and characters were constantly breaking the fourth wall. It tried to get a little more serious with the 'red sky' seasons, but it was too little, too late. So overall, despite it's huge success, the original was A mixed bag.

The animation or lack thereof was awful, didn't like that new kid or how April turned her back on the turtles. I can't really explain why, but most games that made the jump from 2D to 3D i never bothered with again. Mario, Zelda lost all their charm when they stopped being 2D and i never really played any of their games after the SNES, i played and liked the 3D Turtles games only because of the IP, but none of those were as iconic or memorable as the 2D titles and the gameplay was just weak sauce. It feels like they jumped GENRES more so than dimensional planes with the jump to 3D.
