Hello everyone! Welcome back to the 4th installment of Guts and Blackpowder, now with 300% more limbus memes! (can you spot them all?). Today we review some of the new LOREEE G&B received since my last video a couple of months ago (sorry it's been a while since I made a video in general). Guts and Blackpowder is a game during the Napoleonic Wars with the undead zombie masses rising from the ground. A group of survivors must hold out against the horde, only armed with muskets and swords...

One of the devs were talking about it on the discord a while back, the reason why they wrote down that a shambler was alive in the ice was as a way to tie the non-canon modern gamemodes to the lore. If you didnt know, on private servers using server owner commands, you can start gamemodes as modern people defending modern buildings using modern weapons such as M4A16s, Pump Action shotguns and Revolvers, aswell as sappers having metal structures instead of wooden ones, most of the modern maps are shown in winter / ice so they tried to link that to the shamblers getting frozen and later unfrozen thanks to climate change, restarting the blight in the modern era

I think a modern version of GB would be a interesting idea as your playing as a Modern or Cold War soldier and facing the situation their predecessors faced before, being overrun and on the retreat due to the overwhelming amount of zombies. And perhaps new types of zombies would form as a way of balance against humanity’s advancement like armored vehicles

Thia video was rlly awesome ngl. But I have one question. Why in the living hell haven't the British, or anyone else for that matter contacted the Ottomans to ask for Aid. Maybe a counter attack towards central Europe, distracting the horde, allowing for an advance from Coalition Forces which COULD Recapture German Lands, Right? P.S I haven't read the G&B lore Page so Yeah. If the coalition has asked the Ottomans for aid, My bad y'all. Also I like the idea of multiple endings. Like there could be a final map where humanity strikes at the heart of the Blight and mange to somehow defeat it, and eradicate it. Or they fail and the Blight makes a comeback and ye. I think it sounds cool.

Canten only had episodes of insanity and paranoia on the island due to the infection When you call a chaplain while not infected the text says this : "You are perfectly sane, no need to call for a chaplain." Meaning the Blight does cause insanity in some way The zombies are mad cannibals. Dead ones ofcourse. Also the reason Classic Vardohus has the russians and swedish is because originally the Northen nations somehow knew about the blight and sent aid to the Danish which is why they decided to switch it.

I do think the blight causes insanity and to back that claim when you receive infection from attacks ingame your screen turns dark red and you start hearing whispering and noises and that would most likely cause someone to go insane and be paranoid

I wonder what will happen when the Blight reaches Old Blighty. Alternate History Hub's video on what if Napolean invaded Britain is interesting in this regard. He lists the military infrastructure built in Britain qt the time. •Canal networks for the movement of troops •Refurbishment of old forts and the mass construction of nee fronts and new walls around coastal towns •A massive network of simple optical telegraphs think the lighting the beacons in lord of the rings •He also lists a lot of the troop and militia numbers along with weapons Imagine how this would be ramped up during the end times. •Every town a fortress and every man conscripted into the militia. •Maybe the Iron duke will disband the rotten buroughs to control parliament •Using catholic emancipation get more Irish troops and risings in Ireland due to the United Irishmen Society showing as in Otl the UK did not have a clean house. •Perhaps the emergency could crash the economy so much that more workhouse must be built and their internal clinics and schools opened to all similar to later developements. •the wage subsidising Speenhamland system implemented nation wide. •Perhaps the workhouses will be empty with all the poor given temporary work by selling them off by bidding at weekly roundsman auctions or sold to the government for the massive undertaking of preparing Britian? •To enforce quarantine an internal passport system similar to the real french revolutionary system could be implemented? •Maybe William Pitts secret police and censorship could be mentioned? Guh? Im confused Basically, the Undaunted has x amount of people (we're never told). they deploy a small boat with 15 people to go to the island. From those 15, only 4 come back to the Undaunted. The ship was/is always at Vardo. Hopefully that helps?

I know I posted this exact thing on part 3 but I posted that comment 4 months after the video came out so I doubt anymore then 2 people saw the comment, so I’m gonna post this again cause IDK, guess I want people to see my opinion. I feel like lore wise having the blight win is kinda L if that’s what they decide to do. Lore wise it’s kinda doomer. I feel like the war of survival should continue for decades or something yet end in victory. We know from the lore the blight is from demonic origins because of Bible quotes spread in notes and wall writings referencing what sounds like prophecies predicting the zombie horde. Also the blight can be cured by a priest reading someone their final rights which will cure them of the blight as long as they haven’t been fully infected yet. So god is quite literally on humanity’s side. It’s most likely referencing Armageddon. Which is the prophesied war of a final battle between the forces of good and evil. Which is when Satan’s army of evil and demonic shall confront the armies of god, good and the holy. Which is supported because as I said, the Bible quotes referencing prophecies that predict this event being in game and the fact it can be cured by priests. It just feels kinda L that humanity gets wiped out by hells forces. Having Satan conquer the earth is kinda cringe. In my opinion of course.

I love these, the history/timeline of G&B is very interesting and we can actually learn more about the blight and these accursed cannibals. Also I think it was implied to be a runner instead of a shambler trapped in the ice, but I could be wrong. Also during the events of Berezina the Bavarian army was there with the French the only nation added was the Duchy of Warsaw (Poland) and the polish were added to Leipzig too. But to wrap up this comment I have a small theory as to what happened to the infected after the events of Vardohus Fortress, Now we know the infected can be encased in ice, so it's possible that some did get trapped in ice, and the rest most likely left, wandered to other places perhaps deeper into the cold tundras and further into Norway or they were going further into Europe towards France.

I have a theory The 200 hundred years later gamemode and crusaders gamemode may be a secret hint to the lore I think during the era of crusaders, the bubonic plague turned similar to the blight and crusaders kinda tried to survive but they did because unlike the napoleonic wars the crusaders or the medieval soldiers are armored with steel armor which will take atleast 10 zombies to swarm and even swarming wont be enough and the crusader can fight back like they can be kill death ratio of 300 zombies equal a crusader, so they survived and the virus was removed early ane forgotten, leaving the knowledge unknown to the descendants to learn how to survive viruses like this. During the era of crusaders, crusaders were fighting for christian against muslims so god would not punish them, but the virus evolved into a zombie virus THE NAPOLEONIC ERA Since to knowledge to survive viruses like this were unknown to descendants and the whole world was shaking like in American, there is war of 1812 and on the european front its worse so god went on to punish humanity by evolving a small virus to a zombie virus, during the crusades, soldiers were armored and use good melees to fight against the virus, but in this era soldiers only used guns which wasnt advanced and the average soldier dosent have the knowledge to use swords like crusaders and they were reloading guns like 1 round per 40 seconds which made fighting impossible and many fell, but when the survivors prayed for god in many places where survivors are like (London, Copenhagen, Paris, Moscow, Berlin, Vienna and other major cities and small countrysides) prayed and god heard the calling and spared them for the 2nd time, restablishing humanity with Napoleon in rule and others monarchs back in rule. The world was back in piece until world war 1 and 2 Here are the surviving fictional nations that will kinda exist to this day British Empire French Empire Spanish Empire Russian Empire (Soviet union would not exist) United Kingdom of the Netherlands Denmark-Norway Sweden (with Finland not independent) 200 years later gamemode The world was shaking again, as wars escalate like conflicts seen today, god decided to punish humanity by creating this virus but this time it was easier to beat the virus because how advanced the technology is, guns firing 300 rounds per minute, and it was easier to survive so the loop kinda repeats Conclusion The loop repeats and god punishes humanity if wars, greed and corruption happen, so the lesson is to be honest, happy, be peaceful but people from the blight universe always does opposite so the loop repeats and they will only learn the lesson if they all die which is kinda disturbing (my opinion)

I have a theory on zombie swimming I believe zombies can only swim in freshwater and not saltwater. This explains multiple things in my opinion first, why the US is not being affected immediately.
