Miss, Is it okay if my points overlap? Lets say I use PESTEL to show the macro environment struggles, and include those points in my financial analysis?

Yes, the purpose of the PESTLE is to help identify the reasons for the financial performance. There should be an overlap.

Madam, if the latest (2022) annual report has not yet issued, can the research only be based on performance from 2019 to 2021?
@bscappliedaccounting7796 Жыл бұрын
Yes - that is acceptable. I would add a sentence explaining which financial statements you have used and why.

Hi mam, For topic, when we choose a comparison , is that company has to be in the same economic factor? For example, can i choose an airline of one country and compare that with an airline operating in another country?
@bscappliedaccounting7796 Жыл бұрын
You need to justify your choice of main organisation, and the explain why you have chosen the comparator. I would expect the comparator to be in the same sector but not necessarily the same geographical location. So your example is OK

HI Mam The company that I have selected for Topic 4 recently became defunct in July 30 2023 due to bad performance. Is it permissible to use that company for my RAP? And I would also like to know whether it is okay to use SWOT analysis because opportunities and threats are not relevant for a defunct company?
@bscappliedaccounting7796 Жыл бұрын
It is permissible to yuse a company that has closed, but you need to make sure you evaluate the r4easons for poor performance - company failure is not the reason it is the result, so what where the underlying reasons? In terms of models - look in the Informnation Pack www.brookes.ac.uk/business/undergraduate/bsc-applied-accounting/# I would suggest a PESTLE to analyse the external environment, and then a SWOT to think about how the company has responded.
