Topical Honey for Diabetic Foot Ulcers

Hi, thank you for the tip. My mom and my family saw the video in November 2021. My mom had a diabetic foot ulcer beneath her big toe since August 2021. She started using Medihoney on her foot wound in late November 2021 and the wound will probably be closing by the end of January or February 2022. My mom did had mupirocin, but it doesn’t seem to work. Offloading (staying off you feet ) helps too! Thank you, we were worried when the doctor kept pushing surgery and only offered a hole in a foot arch he was selling. He also provided no treatment or recommendations for healing a diabetic foot wound. I think it is good to try nonsurgery methods before going to surgery. Thank you for sharing this information!

Lately studies have shown that some Honey has been processed to the point where it has all of the Pollen removed or it contains high amounts of High Fructose Corn Syrup added to give it a false Sweetness. The information is on the internet if anyone wants more information on this. It seems that if a person was to use High Fructose Corn Syrup instead of real Honey,they would be feeding the foot infection and making it worse. I thought this would be good information for people with Diabetes to know.

I've always used honey for my face, as a facial mask and it makes it very soft.

i had a very erect penis and no amount of honey could make it soft again. i got a friend to chop my willy off and, hey presto, it worked. no kidding. but do not try this at home. do it in front of your local nurse-doctor-priest.

There is a shoe insole, Podophylus, that has worked great in drying foot wounds. Etsy has it.

Its super important to get it locally or at farmers markets if u can. Alot of the grocery store honesy is indeed a corn syurp nightmare.

Currently I have 6 ulcerated cuts on my feet and leg which have grown progressively worse. Have used anti biotic creams and powder but nothing works. Never experienced this before, I'm normally fast to heal. I will buy honey today and try this approach.

Hi does this work for diabetic ulcer under the toe that got infected and had gangrene ? The wound was cut and cleaned. I'm now dressing it everyday. But it doesn't seem to be healing as yet. It's only four days since the procedure.

Seven years later.....I’ve tried honey based on doctor’s orders from the wound care center I go to. It was not effective in helping my wounds to heal, but I think it prevented another infection. Currently being treated with Dakins solution.

Not sure what that is, might be an American thing. I use raw un-treated honey and it works like a charm. The garbage on the supermarket shelves is most likely not even honey, rather honey flavoured corn syrup

Yes indeed. I started using Medihoney on my diabetic foot ulcer when the antibiotic ointment my Podiatrist recommended wasn't doing anything after 3 weeks times. In one week of using Medihoney the ulcer shrank significantly and is almost closed now after two weeks.

Amazon sells a product called Medihoney. It is stronger than regular honey and thicker too..so it stays in place much better. It has closed my diabetic ulcer very quickly with daily applications.
