I was still considering getting him and then while I'm not on the game they send out a fucking message saying that the 30 day thing shown below was an error and that you actually only had 3 hours left to buy him. Im conflicted here. I'm a low spender, I could barely get my Turtles to SSS the first time. I figured I'd get them all to at least SSS+2 this time without spending anything (I did, but only after trading some red tickets to pull more). So getting these dupes wasn't bad for me, but having those 16 Starlights would have been huge for me.

Just so you know, if you're a low spender, you would have only got 8 starlights maximum. You have to reach a high VIP level (over $500) to unlock the copies that Hayzink shows after SSS.

This is ridiculous and unfortunately had used to the packs to build up turtles, now I'm not as upset about this because turtles are a pretty good team though this Still screws me out of building Rhonda, Selena, Finishing vvega and building up Obison, I wonder how they will make up for this. 1k gems isn't gonna cut it, 20 or 40 ss tickets won't neither. Wow that's crazy man I mean who actually get something unlocked and doesn't claim it like that? I mean I can understand particular resources and level up stuff you saving that for a while and then not claiming it because when you claim it it goes in your box and it can expire in a certain amount of time etc etc but this is crazy. I think they should give a box that has multiple choices in it that you can choose that best suits you. Like a box that you can actually choose the turtles that you need or a choice where there's x amount of starlight or even level up resources or red tickets

Value comparison: if you got the maximum number of duplicate turtles from growth packs, that will be 16 duplicates that can be traded for 5 copies of any divination unit which normally costs 99.99£ per copy. So that's almost 500£ value from the growth packs before update. After the update, you'll be getting 16 starlights in exchange which costs 99.99£ for 1. Means you'll be having the value of 1,600£. 500£ vs 1,600£ is not a fair value. That's more than ×3 times better.

I agree whoever this company is they are ripping people off I have been playing this game for a couple of years and all I see is the same crap and then on top of that when I'm grinding on this game there's no results specially for certain characters they want you to spend money on certain characters but I am one of those players that I rather earn then to buy things even with some of these events I feel like they're not giving us a resources to get the characters too much money hungry greedy companies who just wants to empty your pockets on these games I agree let them have it tell them about they self hopefully they'll change something you know what it wouldn't surprise me they don't change anything because they don't care as long as they taking your money

In another gacha that I play, whenever something similar to this situation occurs where some players - either through abusing bugs or the dev's mistake - end up getting extra of gems/tickets or copies of a unit or something, they will actually go through the dev logs and subtract the exact extra amount claimed from each player that did so. If the player already used those resources, their account will actually be put into the NEGATIVES so that they can't actually use those resources until they've "repaid" the missing amount. Since, as you said, the number of players who have access to the bonus starlight is probably way smaller, maybe this an option Topjoy can do to save them from having to do a ton of work trying to recompense everybody else, or even worse, do a rollback of the server to before this update. For those who already used the starlight and don't have enough, their starlight count could be put into the negatives so that they'll have to obtain that amount again to bring them back up to 0 and then into the positives where they can use it. I don't actually play SFD, though, so I don't actually know how feasible this idea would be for you all. And that's assuming the game is even programmed in a way that would allow for Topjoy to do this in the first place.
