A good tip for catfish hunters , lakes or rivers with a massive population of white fish will resuld in record catfishe's . Catfish who live over there have continius food and will grow much faster than other waters. Only a overdosis of food will make monstercatfish ! So if youre go fishing in a lake with a lot of white fish the chanses to get a huge cat is verry possible !

One of my friends that live in Louisiana has never caught a catfish. I have caught several catfish but the first one I caught was at a place they breed them in ponds and I caught 2 of them there on a trip I signed up for after school. Most of the catfish I caught are from my creek and they are small,I also caught 2 at a lake in Louisiana when I was visiting my brother and sister in-law. I think the largest catfish I have caught is either from the lake in Louisiana or the pond at the fishery

Hey Man that was insane the flatheads you caught up at Knoxville. I live in Athens and I would love to know which lake you caught them. I love to fish but im kinda to shy to ever have a fishing show,,but I would love to go it alone or really love to go fishing with you sometime. Have an idea for you, cheap and weight saving. Use two bilge pumps of the exact same model. One fills it, one empties it always circulating. Only fill what you need for what bait you have

That is a very old spawning ground that gets visited up to 4 times a year in the south. Should be a protected area. Old because the larger flats are moving there. And they extremely territorial. It's like knowing how not to get mud turtles before blackberry patches are all ripe.

Put your anchor line in a bucket. Easy to feed back in and will always feed out easy. Anchor line wrapped around your feet is never a good idea. All it takes is some current to change your day. Easy habit to use a bucket. Your family will thank you.

I'm looking for an open face reel that could hold about 200 maybe 250 yards of salt water twine I'm not trying to catch Moby Dick but I don't like to get broke off took a fishing trip last year to Mammoth cave and it was about I would say anywhere from 30 to 40 lb shovel would have been a PB of the year and we took a camping trip so that made it that much more special I'm trying to get geared up for another camping trip this year I wanted to get a box of good bait but I'm looking for a real that could hold about 2 to 250 yd of saltwater twan and then any suggestions on some good hooks I seen your promoting some hooks on here you got a link for those hooks they look decent I'd like to have some of those but if you got any suggestions on a good reel something that don't weigh 5 lb I'm not trying to put salt water gear on a good bank Pole but I would like enough line if I get snagged up I don't have to restring my pole. I set up an open face on a 8-ft stick I can get right out in the middle of the channel but if it was to run I might run out of drag I got some of those big game hooks number 10s . We're talking River fish that's what I mainly do I got an ugly stick it does just as good with a Shakespeare real on it and I got one of my buddy gave me that's when I sit up with 100 lb twine it's great for bank fishing but if it was to run I don't have much line

Anytime your bait hole is that good? I always throw out a catfish bottom line. Something is after that same bait you are. Night time flatheads? Your bait hole might be better than your fishing hole
