just picked up an '05 with a Fisher plow for 8 grand. This is my third pickup in 60 years of owning g pickups. Need to keep coolant topped off or the heater core doesn't get flow and you get no heat. With the Fisher plow, always turn off the power so that an inadvertent touch of the joystick won't have you dripping the plow while cruising. The G80 rear differential uses a centrifugal governor that causes both wheels to get power if on wheel slips at a speed of 120 rpm or higher. Mine has a Duratex like coating on the 8' bed. Body is still good but frame has some corrosion from northeast road salt in winter.

I have the same truck in a 2004 with a long box. Had a 2003 previously, same drive train. These trucks are under rated. Best used gas truck you can buy. I got my 2004 two years ago from the original owner with only 115,000 KM (about 72,000 miles) on it. I also have a 2002 shop truck, a 3500 2WD flat deck with a 6.0 automatic. These are great gas trucks. I also have a 2011 Duramax so don't go on about how much better the Duramax is. It is way better of course.

Might want to specify the rust issue. Here in the Pacific NW our cat eye silverados dont rust. A definite buy for a 2WD to each there own.

When the title said high miles I had at least thought 200K. You can barley find these with fewer miles than That around here.

I just bought a ‘03 just like that one. Mine has 370,000 miles and looks and runs like new! 165k IS NOT high mileage!

It's a salt issue, not a rust issue. :-)
