I did not know how to do this after ten years. Great video vibe.

Did you just avoid modeling one or did you just use a different method ?. Asking because i just got into blender and been watching a lot of videos, including some of yours. You and Thomas both are great at what you do, so i was wondering how you got by when it comes to types of fasteners ?.

There is one nuance, the thread is turned inside the body of the nut and ends without reaching its edge, so in reality it is not working. In everything else, it generally looks like the real thing.

Awesome tutorial, it's short but also everything is explained nicely.

Nice Model and really perfect surface. Only it does not look like a real nut since the thread is ending just somewhere. So you would never be able to screw some bolt in there. I did enjoy your modelling skills. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! Yes you're right, the model is not very accurate. The goal of the "topology study" is to find a way to solve complex topology problems :)

Hello, great video! however I have few questions 1- In 0:58 why did you press Shift + K instead of K 2- In 5:06 why did you connect the vertices 3- In 5:46 why did you add loops 4- When I add subdivision surface modifier the end of the edge looks stretched 5- In 6:42 why did you bridge edge loops here thanks for reading and I hope you reply

Hello :) Thank you ! 1 - You're right the shortcut is K, when I put my mouse on the knife tool icon, it says shift K but I don't know why... 2 - I connected the vertices to get rid of the ngon. 3 - I added an edge loop to sharpen the corners :) 4 - Can you join my discord server and send me a screenshot ? It would be easier to help you ! 5 - To get rid of the hole :)

Damn. This is good! Even though I found a built in nuts & bolts add-on, I still enjoyed learning how to make this from you. It’s clean and the workflow is precise.

Hey Thomas, I have one doubt. When I try to bevel the sharp edges , the bevel contains some triangles on the pointy edge. How to get perfect quads while using bevel ?

when im beveling my edges like in 2:07 my edges becomes less sharp unlike yours. How do you keep the edges sharp when beveling?
