Topper Tutorial: Easy Updo's!

As requested here's a topper tutorial of some very simple updo's (ponytails and a bun). The trick is to take your time, play around with the topper, and use a lot of bobby pins!

Update.... i copied ( as near as i could) your technique... and it works...it gives life to an otherwise old mother hubbard style ponytail with a topper.. in fact im quite chuffed at myself for the results i achieved..hope it was'nt a fluke🤭🤭

Do you find the topper puts too much “tugging” on your natural hair potentially pulling more natural hair out?

I think all hair pieces pull/tug at the natural hair, which is why I still choose to wear my own hair and use toppers sparingly. But for some, toppers are the only solution if the thinning is too much too hide.

Hi Lylah.I am Rajita and I live in Netherlands. I am 32 years old and have the same hair loss problem you are having. Your videos are very inspiring. The toppers look really great. However if I use them regularly will it weaken my natural hair more because of the pins? Do you suggest to wear them only occasionally? Thanks, Rajita.

Hey Rajita, thanks for the comment! I try to show as many solutions/treatments as possible, but everything comes with a price. I personally find toppers painful after a few hours, because yes, they tug at the hair. Some people with healthier scalps don't find much issue, buy my scalp is super sensitive, so I wear toppers only for special occasions. One tip is to rotate which clips you use each time you wear it, so that it's not the same area being tugged at.

I have not, though I've done a bit of research on it - for now I'm not taking any supplements/treatments/pills. I've heard both positive and mixed reviews so let me know how it goes!

you are so lucky you have shiney dark hair. Even synthetic toppers look good on your kind of hair .... curly synthetics look like crud and trying to blend them with lighter colored hair never matches!

The toppers I use are real remy hair, I too find the synthetics too silky and shiny to blend with my natural hair. There are so many topper companies out there though, that offer various customization, keep looking! I've seen a few curly/wavy ones that some friends wear and you'd never know - but, they're 100% remy european hair.
