"Where did this vision come from?", well gee, the Tom Brown Tracker may have had something to do with it.

It is trackers class. Nothing wrong with it EJ. And I'm proud to say my sxb is trackers. A Perfect tracker.

I have this knife and have used it for real while camping. I can tell you that it's the real deal, not just a display knife because it looks awesome.

The TM Hunt M-18 is a unique and original design from Todd.................other than the handle which I believe he obtained permission from Ethan Becker to use. This SXB Skullcrusher xtreme is clearly a straightened and lengthened Tom Brown Jr. Tracker, which makes it a better chopper. Snyder should take credit for improving on Tom's design and leave it at that.

Tom Brown Jr didn’t invent the Tracker, its well documented on KZbin. I have the SXB, SXS and Tom Brown Tracker 4 and they make an awesome system.
@ORflycaster2 жыл бұрын
Yes I realize that Tom Brown reportedly marketed and sold someone else’s design without giving due credit. That still doesn’t mean the EJ Snyder did anything more than lengthen it and name it something more “extreme.” I’m not against the design and wouldn’t mind owning one myself. I’m just not buying into all the R&D hype.

@@RR137G You failed to say why you don't like it. Fact is, the SXB is 1/4 " thick and can handle anything.

@bigjayroadstar1700 I have a couple of Tops they are built very well love the way they are built unfortunately the handles are uncomfortable and way to small. This one has a big blade with a small cutting edge I know if I bought it I wouldn't carry it and keep using my BK2

As cool as this knife is, ive found that it doesn't cut as well as people think. Ive seen a kershaw camp 10 cut a 8 inch thick log in half with only 30 strike's. Then a demo of this machete large knife took 60 strike's to cut a log similar to the one that the Kershaw camp 10. I know there's a facination With this knife. But it doesn't have the kind of cutting ability that ive seen with the Kershaw camp 10. This machete/knife is imo more a hype than practicality.
@BeefT-SqАй бұрын
Bunk ! You haven't cited a scientic test of cutting ability. For one thing, some knives come razor-sharp from the factory and some can be sharpened to a razor edge by the buyer. The SXB is a great knife and an innovative design.
@jmora1914Ай бұрын
@@BeefT-Sq science isn't needed. I saw different videos demonstrating the cutting power the skull crusher and the Kershaw Camp 10. Plus for famous tops, Sxb should arrive sharp for the price point. Watch Gideon's tactical using the Kershaw camp 10 then watch the cutting review on this skull crusher cutting through the same kind of thick log. Science isn't matter science isn't always exact or accurate. The proof is in the tests and reviews. And demos of each. Knife cutting and chopping ability. The “science” is in particle real-life testing. Labs are controlled environments and safety measures etc. But a true knife or machete test isn't based on using it in a lab. In a survival situation, the Proof Is in the actual use and dependency of the blade. 30 strikes with A Kershaw camp 10 compared to 60 by the Sxb on the same thickness and type of wood, what is the need for a science-controlled lab situation? Real life proves my point. And if you're going to buy a blade it should be sharp out of the box or its crap!!!
@jmora191428 күн бұрын
@@BeefT-Sq I agree that some knives come sharper out of the box while others don't. The sub is a very expensive knife but science aside bcz science isn't as exact as you think. Especially as it's in a controlled environment. Practical application is a better test in the field as that's where it matters. As if you depend on a machete or the Sxb knife in a survival situation or emergency the tests by Gideon Tactical testing the Kershaw camp 10 and the tests of the Sxb cutting tests, the Sxb failed in cutting a log that I said the Kershaw out of the box is incredibly sharp. I have one and it came extremely sharp. It is a budget machete but the Sxb is expensive and isn't sharp. You have to sharpen it, what good is it then? Plus sharpening an Sxb will be incredibly difficult to sharpen in the field. But I have a Schrade cone steel to resharpen my Kershaw 10 whereas the SXB needs a complicated System to resharpen it. You can't resharpen an SXB in an emergency situation in the field. I don't care about a scientific test. Practical application matters to me.

Definitely is a tracker knock-off.
@BeefT-SqАй бұрын
Even if you classify the SXB as a tracker-style design, its size, skull-crusher pommel, long straight handle, and saw placement distinguish it.

Don't lie, we all know you just wanted to make a modernized version of those silly blades from "god of war" 🤣
@c.h.u.d7 ай бұрын
Shouldve put the saw on the end of the blade and left more steel on the thinner part of the blade that you rest your thumb on when whittling and bushcrafting.i dont get that.the tracker did it right rob russon is a genius
@BeefT-SqАй бұрын
I think you have a good point but I have never handled a Tracker. Maybe a covering of some kind could keep the saw teeth out of your skin for fine work.
