BENDING IS NOT THE SAME AS FLEXING! This mentality of "it's better to bend than to break is absurd. Bending and remaining bent is undeniable proof you have a soft steel. That the heat treatment is not good. A knife, Sword, Machete etc. All should FLEX under stress and return to zero. A proper heat treatment on a blade should allow for some minor degrees of flex, and then the steel should remember its original shape and return to it. Anything beyond the acceptable degrees of flex should break the blade. This has been the basis of all edged weapons throughout history. Rapiers, Broadswords, Stilletos, etc. They should flex to a point, and either return to zero or break after the point of no return. Another awesome video brother, I damn near died laughing when you jumped into the water blowing that whistle lol. I think you're going to need a new car soon BTW 🤣🤘🙏🔥

The Szabo is made from thinner stock than most TOPs blades of it's length. It is made this way to improve it's stabbing capability. Only with people, not cars. Wildman Josip is definitely not a TOPs fanboy. He spends a lot more time with them at the car lot, than he does with other blades. I was pretty impressed with how well it held up through the carnage. Also TOPs gives there knives a dual heat treat. They are in the flexibility over rigidity corner. I own 5 TOPs blades and have been very impressed with their quality, edge retention and utility. I would never bring a knife to a car fight

That will likely never happen because Busse is not a huge corporation rather a small company in Ohio that makes very tough and depending if it one kf the sister companies or Busse Custom Shop then they're also very high quality knives that many operators trust their life on and for good reason too! However no knife is truly indestructable when a man is intentionally trying to break it what is more impressive is what a man can do with one when he is not trying to break it! 😂

Sooooo as a Collector of Tops Knives (call me a fanboy if you want) i watched all Destruction Tests. I know its not your fav. brand ( Pissing on the certificate was just cringe), but i always curius how its holding up. I was not expecting the Szabo Express to hold up that hardcore. its a very very thin blade with a extrem thin tip. so im actual impresst with it. sure the wood is hard enough to snap that tip, wasnt a suprise. and why you ALWAYS SHOOT THE KNIVES / GRIPS BUT NEVER THE KYDEX Untill now ? And for the car roof Stabbing from tops. they DIDNT stabbed it 2000 times like you. but even after the car Stabbing and Chopping the Szabo was still in a "good" condition and coud be easy repaird/sharpend ! so your hate for the brand aside Fucking AWESOME VIDEO !

Tops is a weird company - their handle scales, sheaths, overall blade design and fit/finish are all top-notch, but their steel quality ( as Joe has proven many times ) is extremely inferior Another very impressive entertaining video amigo 👍

The reason for that is their trademark differential heat treat. Only the part around the edge has been hardened. That's why they bend so easily. And yes, they claim this to be the reason why their knives are so expensive. Bunch of horseshit if you ask me.

When my neighbors went on vacation.. I went next door in the night and I did some car door and car roof stab tests with my knives and machetes.. on their new car. Clip points.. Drop points.. Bowie's.. Tanto blades.. they all sunk deep into that car metal.. like a hot knife through butter! I stabbed the shit out of that car.. for hours.. and when I was done testing.. the car looked just like the one in Joe X video. When my neighbors got back, they asked me if I had seen anyone on their property vandalizing their new BMW.. and I told them "no.. I did not see nothing" I did not notice that they had a video camera.. and I was not wearing a mask or disguise.. The cops paid me a visit next.. and took me away in handcuffs. Hey.. The double edged version can be reprofiled and honed to a razor's edge. Sails through heavy clothing and soft body armor as if it didn't exist. Any larger becomes hard to carry covertly.

The bending tang is super weird, it looks like the hole for mounting the handle scale is a weak point, but it's not just that spot. I guess this is what you get with a totally unhardened tang.

I paid $159 USD. I would pay $200 if it were N690 steel. It is a novelty "fighting" and feels good in the en guard. I appreciate your destruction test and agree you paid too much for the knife. I do like the design, and it seems fine for a purpose built if not too expensive.

As of today, 7/23/23, I found one of these TOPS online for $164.00 US. FROM TOPS homepage they go for $240.00 US.
