Amazing. I’ve had spinal fusion. I wish I had heard of this first. Spinal fusion is hard to get over,and it takes a year out of your life. No more bending over. It takes a lot of rehabilitation. And MORE SURGERY down the road 😦

Can this surgery be performed when you have a small annual tear on the disc? I would think that most people with facet joint arthritis will have some degree of degeneration on the disc as well.

I am a 37 y/o male who has undergone two surgical interventions for pars defect in L5 with spondylolisthesis grade I (L5-S1). The first one was a pars repair with the wire but, 6 years later one of the screws failed and had to go in for surgery again. It was a similar intervention but instead the surgeon used hooks and screws. Even though my back felt more stable since day one, I still had some discomfort (instability sensation) and back pain after playing soccer or running for more than 30 mins. It actually never felt 100% perfect, and honestly it has been extremely frustrating since I have always been a high performance athlete. My question is....could this device retract my anterolisthesis back to grade 0? I ask this because I can feel the discomfort comes from the stenosis caused by the slippage. I feel so much relive when I pull myself back with my hands in my hips. Best Regards, Jimmy.

Have they made this available in USA yet then? I live in Iowa . ( Des Moines) and has l5s1 back surgery last year along with neck surgery few months after like c6-c7 I think. They went through front on both and not cage in back just the other hardware. I was doing good right after surgery and then like 5-8 months out gradually got worse and now it same constant pain that electrifies you the whole time and everything of every day is evolved of my back and hope for better days . Less sleep too.. degenerative disc disease along with spondylothesis with nerve damage.. facet damage now too or wore it out cause I got to be active and have rough job . (Equipment operator/laborer) and can work 10-16 hrs a day… and plow roads .. just miserable all the time and try to smile and wish this upon nobody. MRIs must not see minute damage or who knows.. does insurance cover any of this either.. yet in USA or anywhere? Saw some plaid like $70k out of pocket and then have to travel back to Germany for post-op… I’d do em all right now cause what’s there to lose. ? I’d tattoo the company on me and brag it up if it did work miracles.. is there hope? God bless . Sorry for long post. 🙏🏽

I am here because of that too. I live in Bend Oregon. I had a coworker go to Germany and disc replacement surgery. Not sure if it was this or another. Why is it not available in US?? This seems so obvious?! BIG PHARMA problem? I am going in for my ESI injections next week again. Contact the Texas Back Institute in Plano, Tex. that has much experience with artificial discs and very persuasive data that supports the effectiveness of these discs. (not necessarily this brand) I would even consider a lawsuit against any insurance company that refuses to approve any surgery unreasonably. Another option is to have the surgery done outside the USA, with the chief advantage being that the cost will likely be less than in the U.S., so if you do have to self pay without insurance help this could help it be more affordable. It could be an interesting and fun experience if a person took this route, and if they recovered well with greatly reduced or eliminated symptoms, and then sued an insurance company for refusing to pay for it.

Since degeneration of vertebral joints is usually associated with disc degeneration, you should also replace the disc with a pro- disc, so, is a costly huge procedure that the half-life isn't long and consequently leads to fusion.
