I’ve heard ullmark to Ottawa a couple times and I get the draft pick. I do not get chycrun, why would the bruins wanna take him on. I could see a three way with flyers taking chycrun and Boston getting a player from the flyers.

Someone who follows the Flyers, they seem to like Sanheim on the right side and have said they would like to find someone to play with on left side so they can pair York and Drysdale. Flyers are said to like Chabot more, but as a fan I would hate to see them pay for Chabot who has way too many injury concerns and haven't lived up to his pay. I think this is one of those rumors that is just smoke before something else happens that no one expected.

Sanheim plays the right side and is paired up with Cam York. Briere has publicly said they’re looking for a left handed partner for Drysdale. Chabot/Chychrun make a lot of sense for Philly. I just don’t see how the money works. That’s an expensive blue line with Yorks extension next year and Drysdale the year after

Sens need to keep what they have and start playing like an NHL team. They heat offensively and handcuff the back end. Only two or three guys finish a check. This team needs tough coaching.

It’s absolutely not an underwhelming return. Markstrom held all the cards with his no trade clause. Calgary’s hands were tied. Just because there’s rumors out there about a huge return they obviously weren’t based on the reality of the situation.

Well the rumored return was at the trade deadline which normally makes prices higher, so in this instance if a trade for the same player around that time was rumored to be more, and this was less you can still take that stance...

You mentioned Sanheim. It's possible he could be going back to OTT. He played RD this season. He says he 'sees better' on that side. Torts prefers him there. Sens need an RD. That's also a reason why Chabot makes sense going to PHI. The contract swap works. Imo, if Briere wants to move up it has to be a C he's after. Lindstrom? Do they see Iginla as a C? Catton? If I'm wrong and it is a D they covet, Dickinson would be the one. Keith Jones & Briere talk a lot about building from the blueline out - with size. Can you imagine a Dickinson & Bonk pairing? Straight from London to Philly. Lastly, could be Farabee going to OTT. He would help Sens top 6 & cap hit is reasonable.

The nay sayers for Ullmark haven’t watched him . He is elite and was better than swayman second half . To trade in division Ottawa needs to over pay . Can’t make them a playoff team for one first round pick

The teams are starting to dry up already kings got Kuemper, Markstrom now gone. Boston could see themselves forced to pay both ullmark and Swayman. Not the worst position to be in, but might make them half to take something.

I dont yhink Ottawa is still in rebuild mode.Winnipeg has a couple options.UFA Demello,right shot d man,Morgan Barron or Nino Neidereiter,and Brossoit.Barron is a middle six,he is 6'4" and 220,with a lot of potential.Neidereiter is 6'2" 218 a left wing middle six.Broissoit back up goalie.Move Forsberg,and Chychrun plus 2 real prospects.Osker Petterson,Stephen Halladay,instead of a first and give them your Washington 2nd for 2024 for Ullmark. Ottawa could move Korpisallo to a team like San Jose,or Chicago.Chicago also has Jason Dickinson,a middle six center,that can definately play second line center during injuries.Move Norris and his LTIR contract to a team that has to do it in order to make the cap.

If the new management group in Ottawa traded away yet another 1st round pick like the last group kept doing I think I would stop watching hockey. Ottawa is is NO position to even dream of winning (or even contending for) a Stanley Cup due to the lack of talent in the pipeline. Stop trading 1st round picks for Americans and Europeans that DON'T want to be here, it doesn't work and we're NOT winning for a long time. We need to do a proper rebuild and currently Ottawa has 3 of the top 39 picks in this upcoming draft. But trading yet another pick away in a vainglorious effort to be relevant would be so Senators.
