Davidson is preaching patience with the Blackhawks rebuild. I don’t see them giving up numerous young high end assets for a player who is viewed as soft and has underperformed since signing his nice fat contract.

Hawks are more likely to be extremely aggressive to sign Marner this summer, and won't have to give up anything. Seattle going to be having a garage sale for sure, and have a number of interesting players to offer. Canucks in a tough spot, in that can they rely on Pettersen to deliver the goods? I myself don't think he will, but I've been wrong plenty of times.

Its been rumored vancouver changed stance on price to contender like Carolina who dont want to give up a roster player like Necas,Jarvis ect. Maybe you could get a JacksonBlake and a pick or prospects but they should be prepared be let down.

@garycochrane4829 yea well petey is a carreer point per game player that's only 26 and way ahead of where the twinsxwere at the same age he is and will be a superstar in this league that's why I said only for Bedard that the type of player petey is worth he just needs time. Even kucherov didn't start lighting up the NHL till he was 28. Also petey already has a 100 point season under his belt. And you can't say that about Bedard.

The ONLY way Chicago would have a chance at a trade for Petterssen is if Bedard is part of the package coming back and I doubt very much they'd give away their "generational" talent. I'd like to see Bedard, Alex Vlasic and a swap of 1st round picks for Pettersen and either Hoglander or one of our pylons on the blue line.

The Canucks accepted the player package that has been widely reported (Chytil, Lindgren + a couple of AHL players), the Rangers cancelled the deal over the 1st Rnd conditions. Schneider & Lafreniere were NEVER on the table and the Canucks are well aware of that.
