Excuse me two struggling teams?? The day of this video the Vancouver Canucks are ranked 13th(that's fourth place in the Pacific Division) Overall in the entire league the Buffalo Sabers rank 29th. The only one who's struggling to score here is EP40 ... And as a Vancouverite myself I think EP40 is a cancer in the dressing room. Upsetting other players. The only reason why we lost to the Boston Bruins is because Demko's second game .... Not to mention that Kevin Lankinen three shout outs already but ""we have to go with our starting goalie because he's our starting goalie""😅
@TopShelfHockey18 сағат бұрын
Yes but the Canucks have struggled as of late I think it’s fair to say they thought they’d be higher in the standings. You can tell Tocchet and Rutherford aren’t happy

Power & Cozens for Petterson!
@wati899519 сағат бұрын
Byram still doesn’t play as a top pair d-man in Vancouver though. I don’t see Cozens bouncing back to being a 30 goal center with any of the wingers he’d be playing with as a canuck tbh….
@michaelkirkpatrick748315 сағат бұрын
Interesting trade scenario. I would do it. EP's time in Vancouver appears to be over. Think he'd do very well in Buffalo. Sabres would say yes, but Canucks might want a draft pick or prospect added. The key is Couzins, who may or may not be a 30 goal scorer every year. Sabres would not give up Thompson.
@CashMacGregor20 сағат бұрын
there will be dancing in vancouver streets if petie is moved. his skills are undeniable but he is not feeling it in vancouver now. the passion for petie died when his passion for playing for the canucks abandoned him.

This page lost touch with what's going on. Terry Pegula flew to visit the players personally and told the players there would be NO TRADES and that improvements have to come from within. Also said he's got a lot of faith in Kevin adams and lindy ruff
@DanSmith-k4p15 сағат бұрын
Yes its crazy only because we have not seen many blockbuster trades like this in years. With that said I think both teams would take a change at a trade like this because its fairly even. There are pros and cons on both teams doing this trade. There is not going to be a clear winner in this trade until years later. However what happens if both teams win the trade in a way? What I wonder is what if this trade was done. Then the Sabres put up Tage for a very similar package trade. A Top young Center, and a Young Top 4 D.
@randypattie952418 сағат бұрын
I think the Canucks are leaning towards trading EP40, but remember his NTC doesn't kick in till July, so there is no rush to pull the trigger right now. I think they just wait for someone to get desperate enough. Like on top of the proposed trade w/Buffalo, they throw in some more sweetening. Draft picks for example. Allvin is in a tricky spot. They are in win now mode, so they're not really looking for young players or picks, yet moving Elias is awfully tempting to reboot the team.

This would be the ideal trade
@OhCanada-wk3kl20 сағат бұрын
I would be so pleased with this trade! Petterson is not a top 3 player (as dictated by his salary) and is definitely not a franchise player (a term that has been very water-downed by player agents in the last several years). I would suggest Hughes deserves the 11.6 million per season- not Petterson! The question is whether the Canucks want to bank their future as a franchise around Petterson? Does he compete and lead the team consistently, particularly in the Big games when it counts? Will he be able to lead the Canucks to a Stanley Cup? I for one think NOT!
@goenzoy71220 сағат бұрын
He is a point per game player So 8 million is normal for that type of production. If he can lead a team and the 3 million overpaid is a different story
@EclipseJay20 сағат бұрын
Pettersons ok on a team that doesn't intend on competing in the playoffs , like Buffalo . Killer deal for the Canucks to get rid of that overpaid little boy
@danevertt321020 сағат бұрын
Why would Buffalo want a softer player?
@goenzoy71219 сағат бұрын

Sports is all about statistics. I would love to see some statistics on how accurate commentators like Friedman are. They can have categories like claimed insider info, sheer speculation etc... We seem to waste a lot of time speculating with very little results. They make money from all the clicks and the fans just get fustrated from all the speculation and rumors. It seems these rumors can have negative impact on the players and the organization.
