The Car is the 2021 Volkswagen Golf 8 GTI. It has a 1984 cm³ (121 cu in) 4 Cylinder Turbo Charged Petrol engine (Engine code: VW EA888) producing 245 Ps (180 kW; 242 hp) at 5000-6500/min and 370 Nm (272.9 lbf⋅ft) at 1600-4300/min.
It is equipped with a 7-speed Double clutch Automatic driving the front wheels.

I should mention that the car was on winter tyres that would scream when ever they see a corner, also the grip level was questionable, especially in faster Corners (like at 3:13), the longer the corner the less grip. The unstable breaking is because of the Lane Assistent, i later found out that it activates every time your turn the car on.

Yea it’s due to the lane assist which somehow over reacts when breaking hard at high speeds. The problem is when you turn on the car all driver assistants reset and are back on which I didn’t know so after I did the engine check it was all back on. Problem is it isn’t just a button you press like in many other cars to switch it on or off, no you need to go into a hidden setting on the touchscreen. It’s very distracting while driving and due to the touchscreen not so easy. Over all the fro is great fun to drive and I would love to take it for a spin on a racetrack to really push its limits. Would love to test a trophy but I have no access to one in the moment.

Great Job. Sehr Gutes Video. Du hast alles aus dem Golf rausgeholt. Interessant ist, dass man den gewaltigen Unterschied zwischen 267km/h und z.B. 240km/h sieht. Der Golf 7 ist ja bei 259km/h abgeriegelt.

Das stimmt nicht mein 7 Gti Performance mit opf geht auch bis Tacho 267km/h. Leider kann das JB4 keine Vmax aufhebung. Sonst wäre noch mehr drin.

Realistically between 8-12 liters. Less then 8 is possible but then you might as well not buy a gti

Der Motor macht das ohne Probleme mit bei den Bremsen bin ich mir nicht so sicher. Was die Bremsen nicht mögen ist häufig hinter einander von hohen Geschwindigkeiten abbremsen. Aber das ist ja leider bei fast jeden Auto so.

Not so uncommon any more and it’s the same base engine as the glow r that pushes an extra 100+ hp so I would say it’s on the save side

Das instabile Bremsen kommt vom lane keep assist der den Wagen sehr aggressiv in der Spur halten will und stark einlenkt so das der Wagen sich ganz schön aufschaukelt wenn man hart bei hoher Geschwindigkeit bremst. Das problem ist das beim neue golf die driver Assistenten reseted when man ihn aus/an macht und man dann jedesmal sich durch die unter Menüs klicken muss bis man im richtigen Menü Punkt angekommen ist. Das wusste ich nicht das ich jedesmal aufs neue alles ausstellen muss, beim fahren ist es mit dem Touchscreen auch nicht so einfach durchs Menü zu klicken. Aber allgemein sind die Bremsen nicht der Hammer und so wie die sich anfühlen sollten sie bei einem schnell Fahrer nicht lange halten (5.000-10.000km max)

Als kleiner Tipp, am Blinkerhebel (links). Ist oben drauf ein Knopf, wen man den drück öffnet sich ein Menü im Tacho, darüber lassen sich ganz einfach die Fahrerassistenzsystem ausschalten.

Boy, you are living dangerously. Compare the steering wheel movement with the new BMW 1 Series. Day and night. The Golf looks like a Corsa... The BMW, on the other hand, stands like a 1 at full braking! Interior noise in the Golf is also really cheap. It's as if the aerodynamics don't fit.

Da hatte wohl das Auto eher den Fahrer im Griff als umgekehrt. Etwas früher bremsen und dafür nicht so stark das die Karre wegzieht. Besonders nicht bei diesen Geschwindigkeiten. Die Autobahn ist nicht wirklich gut und das Fahrwerk ist sehr instabil. Was für ein gefährliches Fahrmanöver. Ich fahre übrigens auch gern schnell aber nicht mit dieser wackeligen Kiste und unter diesen Bedingungen.
