Wow Liesl I'm a total new beginner at the age of 60. I absolutely LOVE your videos. You explain and are so calming to watch. I wish I could just get the stitch straight. I try to push slowly on the pedal and it either staggers or runs on me. I have a Singer 4423 and I wonder if they have different pedals to help stabilize the control of my needle to go slower. I've learned so much from you. Thank you a million times over. Maybe I'm just too old to learn a new trick.

Lovely video. One suggestion: This would have been a great opportunity to show the use of a topstitching foot, to discuss topstitch needles, and topstitch threads.

I'm new at sewing too. I want to sew more but I get frustrated because It seems like every time I sew I cannot seem to keep it straight. Any pointers??
