What ‘a your opinion on the 1x drive train? I’m considering a Topstone For 2023 and My riding is mostly road with an occasional rail trail ride (gravel) I’m thinking about the Topstone 3 just for more gear selection.

Sort of a cost benefit analysis with that. I am mostly a roadie with considerable cross country mountain bike experience. Gears are awesome, however at my age spinning along at 53yrs young my sustained sprint speed on the flats is around 40km/h. This is right where the 1x tops out. so the first gen topstone 4 at 1500$ is plenty for the way I ride. If you can afford it obviously get a better ride. this years topstone looks awesome I just can't afford it. I can, however happily put many more miles on the bike I am on. :D
