Maybe a dumb question, but---it appears that when you cast, your whole hand was below the reel post; so seemingly could not control release of the line with your finger. Did I see right? If so, how does that work? New to Carp fishing and I find it a little hard to control the line release with my finger with the heavier weighted terminal rigs--well more than a little--

Use artificial baits like corn ,pellets , boilie ,tiger nuts from aliexpress. For a few years now it catch a lot of fish 😜👍
