One of the best Techs I’ve seen for this deck was using the Witchcrafter continuous trap, Patronus along with Spell Chronicle, which can banish 5 different named spell cards from your deck, and then Patronus can get them all back to hand that turn in the end phase. Might not be necessary to play but it’s interesting. A bigger Branded package to focus on fusions with Cartesia, Albaz, and Branded Fusion can get you Mirrorjade on the field very consistently as well and it has the extra deck space for it.

I try to banish 7 spells on the graveyard with masterpiece then banish patronus to send those same spells straight to my hand to finish the chain with Haine on board with 5+ spells in hand, you can do this to respond to any sort of board clear like Zeus provided you can manage to get 1 of each of the traps in the gy which is as easy as burial goods + schmietta to set it up

Hot take. The missing level 6 witchcrafter is Mystical Sand, depicted in the portrait in the Patronus art, nods to the fusion direction of the archetype and another nod to her being the original ygo waifu monster who was included in early competetive extra decks pre 15 card limit as a luck charm.

@@endeavor1299 I'm almost positive there will be a level 6 release at some point due to vice madame effect wording to summon level 6 or lower witchcrafter. Why wouldn't it say level 5 or lower for Edel and leave it at that? 🤔 I just hope she's as broken as MM circular or Aluber etc.

I just found out that comments with links get deleted so I am going to try again. I made a more budget version of this deck a while ago and it personally works pretty well, look for witchcrafter branded on ygoprodeck, the branded package doesn't have all that synergy but it's so good it makes it worth it for just 4 cards. As I said it's budget this is why I play magistus verre over Cartesia but I agree the latter is the better choice. I use magicalized fusion with 3 veiler and 3 droll, having spellcasters in the gy makes it very easy to fusion summon both vice-madame and quintet magician. I think you should play Edel, it can be special summoned with Vice-madame and then use its effect to bring back any spellcasters in the gy, very useful with blazing cartesia. Also consider patronus over draping as it can now be searched with schmietta and retrieved from the gy with vice-madame (also draping is just bad, I don't understand why they made that card that useless).

I love to play also a copy of The Iris Swordsoul and an Instant Fusion + Millennium-Eyes restrict, giving to Edel other targets for being reborn. My only problem with Cartesia is that I want to use Branded in High Spirits but I do not know well the targets to send to the graveyard for its effect (that can be good to do some things). Slowly going in favor of Cartesia instead of Illusion of Chaos + Magicians Souls sadly

I actually run both Cartesia and Magicians Souls + Illusion with a small Magistus package. Added two Despian Luluwalillith to dump one off of Granguinol which summons Cartesia on end phase so you can go into Vice-Madame on opponents turn. It's not the most consistent but when it goes off it can be crazy with the Magistus boss + Vice Master + masquerena + Selene to go into Avramax. Never thought I'd be able to make a combo deck out of Witchcrafters.

You can always add the magician girls (not dark magician girl per se) they can support spellcaster decks pretty good. Nice profile video,man, keep it up! I'm a huge fan of these girls, my favourite one is Schmietta

Thoughts of adding an instant fusion? It can act as another called by the grave while putting a second spellcaster on board. Also works well if you play the magician arm package since you can revive him back afterwards.

how about playing the 1 Reasoning? its an easy negate bait and if even if they guess right you potentially put loads of Witchcrafter spells in grave since you play way more spells than monsters. Also you've got a nice variation level wise 1,2,3,4,6,7.8. only annoying thing to see would be the gamma package.

What do you think about secret village? Maybe even a Nadir Servant package? Pitching Garura to add dogmatika eclesia feels pretty nice and going second you can dump n’tss of course. Love these deck profiles, always excited when I see a new upload on the channel!!

Secret village is a card I side for going first. Nadir servant is a potentially playable package, but I haven't tested it enough to decide if it's better than anything I'm currently running.

I personally always advise against Secret Village, mainly because it hurts you immensely during bad times. If you make a board and play Secret Village and have everything get wiped, suddenly Secret Village stops you from recurring or adding new cards because you don't have any spellcasters. I'd sooner say it'd better to go for a Magician's Restage into Magician's Left/Right Hand strategy. It's more cards, but it's safer to play.

Personally, I haven't liked the souls engine as much in my earlier testing with the deck. So I eventually removed the engine. Cartesia I think is a very good card in the deck however. Maybe I will test souls more in the future though.
