Picked a few of these up today. 3rd cast on the rat and boom, fish on and landed. No monster but the feeling you get when you see a pike hit a lure on the top is indescribable. Awesome stuff!

i was light pike/perch spinning last weekend, while reeling in a 10 inch perch a pike slashed at it ans then came back a second time and missed it again, 3rd time he got a hold of it but let go, 4th time he got hold of the tail and i pulled my perch into the bank with the 3lb jack holding its tail, the pike's head wad out of the water for about 8ft then when i got it at my feet it let go and turned away, totally not bothered that it was so close to me, great fun and you need to try it, this was in scotland

Yeah frucks don't hold up well savage gears own soft plastic glue works well for repairs. Also I could talk for hrs about top water pike fishing wrote an article on it for LAS magazine quick tip if you get a take and it misses immediately cast again again until the takes stop then give it an hr and go cast back same spot they'll try again always do
