Love poppers Debo the Rico and the Rio Rico are always tied on. Another popper that I don’t hear anyone talk about is the OSP louder. They come in different sizes and they spit water 💦 droplets that look like a school of fleeing bait fish. Thanks for the video it looked like you were having a blast. Nice video Debo. I use braid to fluorocarbon leader for all my reels. I especially like the Pline Tactical Fluorocarbon line. Great for casting, jigging, drop shot and with great strength no matter the size of the fish. I have used it on panfish in Iowa and walleye, northern pike, and smallmouth bass in Canada. Go Hawkeyes!

I agree a good crisp rod is best with a jerkbait. Although I did catch a 6.7lb bass on a soft wobbly rod once because the fish decided that the little extra bait wiggle was more than she could Handle so she ate the thing 😂.

It seems like the jerk bait bite starting to pick up pretty good. I went out yesterday for about 2 hours and did not catch much. But two large mouth on Berkley stunner 112+1 and one on a Berkley war pig 1/4oz lipless.
