While passing through the historic city of Kanazawa, Tora-san encounters three young women on vacation who all take delight in his boisterous hijinks, especially Utako (Sayuri Yoshinaga). When she shows up in Shibamata for more entertaining distractions, Tora-san is more than delighted to oblige his newfound "Madonna," but Utako soon confides that her father refuses her marriage to the man she loves back home. Heartbroken yet ever-well-intentioned, Tora-san resolves to set the matter straight. New 4K restoration.

Shibamata has so many beautiful things to see and do, all centred around one main road-- ending in a beautiful temple with a nearby traditional old home serving tea. You don't need to worry about getting lost or doing more walking than you need to, very compact area. There's a great retro candy shop and a great cafe serving the most fantastic combinations of Okinawan ice cream and coloured soda, which aesthetically specialises in retro kitsch from the 1960s and 1970s so get your camera ready for the technicolour overload. Shibamata's underrated and not many tourists wander about there. All the better for you. 😸

they are in blu-ray now. Every film have been remastered to 4k.
