( 25:09 clode’s comment; sorry don’t know how to spell her name) Confirmation! Interestingly enough, as you mentioned her question about which source favors Judah more, I was actually reading about that last night in Richard Elliot Friedman’s book “Who Wrote the Bible.” He talks about it on page 46 in the section “J for Judah, E for Israel” but going on to page 51 he says “the person who wrote J was particularly concerned with the kingdom of Judah, and the person who wrote E was particularly interested in the kingdom of Israel.” So there he does confirm J’s favor toward Judah. That’s where I’m at in his book so I’ll read on to find out the “why’s”. 😂 By the way, talking about my new found revelation of Moses not being the only writer of the Pentateuch has proven to come with some pushback. The thing I have on my side though is the Truth and much scholarly information to back it. Thank you again for being a vessel bec I may not have learned this without your efforts. Paraphrasing Michael Heiser he said there’s so much happening in the unseen realm that there has to be a reason for everything.

Pops mentioned the 'prodigal son' in Luke 15.22 "But the father said to his servants, Bring forth quickly the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet." We can imagine a robe, cloak, tunic (what had they) was a valued heirloom in those days-particularly to the Yahwist.

רוֹנִי A.k.a. Ronnie mentioned something that made me think if that was a fur coat Yaaqov wore when Issaq blessed him. Maybe Esau, his brother-the hunter-wore these furs, בְּנָהּ הַגָּדֹל הַחֲמֻדֹת Rivqah took the best of Esau's clothes [Gen 27.15]; and Esau was told that Yaaqov took his blessing [27.35]. We may see there are different garments throughout the Book of Origins. Initially with the fig leaves. Then 3.21 HaShem made 'garments of skin' and clothed them. So on. Interesting study.
