Torah, Uplifting the Lower World (class 1 of 2)

Yithro, the father in law of Moses, as priest of Midian was familiar with and represents the physical world. When Yithro says to Moses "Blessed is HaShem...now I know that HaShem is greater than all the gods," Exodus 18:10-11, is showed that the world was ready to be uplifted by the receiving of the Torah at Sinai.
