Ianto was one of the most popular charavters and he was the most interesting coz we didn't no bout his past, the views on Torchwood dropped drastically when he got killed off, it became ridiculous when they killed of ianto coz he was always one of the main characters in the audience eyes no matter what the titles say. They wrote his name has the third main character in the books after s1. He was easily one of the character's that made Torchwood

Ella Leuchter the viewing figures were around 6 million for every episode of children of earth and then miracle day premiered with over 6.5 million viewers in the u.k so as much as I loved Ianto and was devastated by his death, killing him didn’t hurt the viewing figures at all. On top of that Jack was always the main character with Gwen the second main character. The first series is essentially shown through her eyes much like Rose in the first episode of series 1. Ianto was always the third one of the trio. It’s like the ninth Doctor, Rose and Jack, you might like one character more than the other but the order is clear. Ninth Doctor first, Rose second and Jack third. That was just what it was like with Torchwood

Right at the end there I can just picture the two of them in the hospital- Ianto sitting on Jack's bed, not looking at him while he holds his hand... -sob- IANTO!

This speech is so beautiful because it shows how ianto feels when he sees or hears about his past in form or the other This is so heartbreaking because part of it did became true through season 4 torchwood 😪

You know, I watched the first couple episodes of Miracle Day but not the whole thing. I really do honestly like the plot. Suddenly no one can die? Brilliant! I love it! But... it just wasn't Torchwood. It's literally a completely different show than it was before. And thats why I couldn't bring myself to watch the damn thing, it was horrific. All I want is for them to hire three new members, settle back in Cardiff, fight some Weevils, etc. Back to series 1 and 2 style episodes or none at all.

Yeah. I watched the whole of Miracle Day but it wasn't until the end of episode five where I kind of went 'yep, this is the Torchwood that I know and love' and then I was hooked :P

This is a Torchwood radio specal which was broadcast over BBC Radio 4 last month. *SPOILER* In this scene Jack is in hospital, in a deep trance after his brain waves were kinda messed up by a virus tapping into the Cardiff phone network. They don't know if he's ever going to come out of it, and this is Ianto sitting beside his bedside! Hope this helps! I love TW to! Love JB & GDL! Jack & Ianto forever!

Since writing that comment, I have watched the whole thing... and my opinion hasn't changed much. I just don't see it as even the same show. When I think of Torchwood I only think of three seasons. Not by choice either, I always just have to be reminded of Miracle Day. Which isn't a good thing for a season of a show I otherwise adore.
