Instead of just showing the removal of these parts, it would be super helpful to describe why you would replace them. Battery dead, won't hold charge, etc? Directional switch, doesn't go into reverse or forward? Controller serves what purpose? How do you know that is the bad part? You know, just something to help diagnose and repair these things without just ordering parts and hoping it works. From the comments I see listed below, parts aren't all that readily available. Maybe provide a parts manual????

Why did the one I bought come with some kind of glue locking the wires in with the control module connections. Same for the battery. Also over heats for barely going up a smaller dirt pile

I need the front wire harness for the huffy torex utv. From the speed controller to the front all but the two front motor harnesss. Our dog stredded the harness. Please help or possibly just send a link of the electrical schematic and I can rewire it on my own. This was to be my boys Birthday present but the dog destroyed it. Hidden in the shed door left open.

I need a favor...I purchased one of these but the forward & reverse switch went bad! When I removed the dashboard the wires fell off so I don't know how it was wired up! I blew 2 fuses guessing! Would you mind removing a few screws and telling me how that switch is wired? It's color coded.. I contacted customer service and they didn't have the information. .I got 2 little girls waiting to ride...I feel bad so this is me just trying everything! I appreciate any help you can offer.

We got the atv 24v torex and while driving especially full speed it just shuts off and now im noticing its one back wheel stops locks up and then it cuts off how can i fix that. parts are expensive to play guessing games what do i replace and what is the issue is there video on this type issue plz help thanks

Huffy Bicycles, or any other viewers, is there any way to add a parental remote control to this UTV? Or at the very minimum, an emergency remote stop?

My boys each got one of these as gifts. Awesome for a short time...then one would take off at full speed for few seconds and stop. He quit riding that one and just shared his brothers. Now that one is broken, just hearing relays clicking when trying to go forward or reverse. No answer at Huffy service. Really need two control boards. It looks easy enough to change...hope they answer my emails soon! Doesn’t sound good based on the other comments here.

Lcsighte ken They’re going to send out new control boards once they’re not on backorder. They said they’ll be in stock very soon. No charge, they treated me very well once I got through.

Would the control board cause the throttle to be stuck in the wide open position? We just bought ours 2 days ago and this is happening. As soon as you press the green start button the unit takes off at full speed.

Hey Keith. First off, I'm really sorry to hear you've had issues with your Torex so soon. I would think that's an issue with the foot pedal, which we can also replace! To make sure, please give us a call at 800 872 2453 and ask for our ride-on tech. He's great and will be able to identify the issue and send out new parts.

If it takes off ass soon as you connect turn it on you need to replace the control board don’t waste your time changing gas pedal brake pedal or switch. Same happened with mines until I replace the control board

Bought the Torex for my son Xmas '21. Within a month the RF plastic drive gears stripped. Contacted Huffy, they sent me another one after 2 months of backorder waiting. Got the new gear on, then the LF stripped the same day. Very frustrating. Contacted Huffy, they sent a LF one with another 2 month wait. Then it just quit and I narrowed it down to the controller. Waited a while and a new one came in. He rode it a few times, then both back gears stripped and the thing won't move with just front power. Contacted them and they told me to order parts online for it. It's now Oct and the Torex is just sitting. It cost too much for it to break like that. No where close to even a yr. Since new, it may have been charged 2 dozen times before not usable any more. 3 yrs ago I bought a Tao Tao 4 wheeler for him, it's still going. Tao Tao makes Coleman. He has a Coleman go-cart that's still running over 2 yrs. We bought the Torex because it was 4wd and supposedly the toughest ride-on huffy has. I don't know who they had test the Torex, but it's not tuff at all. And the lights aren't worth mentioning because of how dim they are. I'm now looking at doing a custom gas go-cart swap to do away with the electric side of it. I'm sure a HF predator engine will last more then a yr.

Damn! Yours lasted that long??? Mine only lasted about 8-10 minutes. Looks like that's a common problem with these. I'm looking into upgrading to a LiFePO4 battery

@@BMoses1228 Seriously...mine lasts like 10 minutes with two kids in it that weigh 100lbs combined....it sucks......I am trying to find the paralell connector so two batteries can be hooked up at the same time but I cant find it

The "Warning" about Washing this car, NEEDS to be More Prominently Displayed. Our grandkids got one as a Christmas Gift, and after riding it for a while wanted to Wash it, as they had gotten it muddy. To say the least they got slammed into the seats when he Pushed the throttle and it ran for about 3 seconds and then slammed stopped. I later found the "Warning" about washing AFTER looking for the Model #. 1/16th" warnings are more of an afterthought

There is an indicator light on the charger that turns green when the battery is fully charged.

I just received two replacement rear motors. I see how to unplug the stock rear motors, but how do I remove them from the chassis? They don't seem to be screwed on anywhere. Thanks.

Just remove the wheel hub, and remove the nut holding the rear wheel on. You will be able to remove the wheel and the rear motor assembly will just pull out. You will need to remove the 4 screws on the back of the motor assembly to gain access to the gears and motor. I just finished doing the same on my sons. Where did you get your motors?

I called couple days ago to huffy and find out they put on recall the model number 17249 so check the model number. They released new model in november that supposed to be improved i just bought at walmart today so i really hope they fix all the issues we will put togethen on Christmas eve so will see. If not it will be going back to walmart. The new model number is 17310

What is the purpose of the secondary battery? What does it do/change?

Adding a second battery will extend the length of the ride-time. It will not make the ride-on go faster. Hope this helps!

It doesn’t come with a manual to charge the battery you have to remove the seat and take the battery out and charge it there

I just bought this from walmart and the transmission gear on one of the motors. There is no parts info on the huffy site. Are there parts for this, does anyone know what size gears this takes?

This is a terrible product it’s broke so many times and huffy is no help they want to charger me $30 every time their poorly designed gear brakes which is about every week. We have a 5 year old cheap power wheels that is way better!!!

Mine broke after about 3 uses. Won't go forward. And the awd is pointless, it doesn't have enough torque to drive up a slight grade to begin with. Sure it goes fast on a sidewalk, too fast really. Would be nice to have more torque so it can be used in a rough yard

Just got ours and feels like it has plenty of torque. I can have 2 kids in the car and pull another kid in a bicycle cart behind it through trails with slight inclines. They can get about 20-30 mins of driving on one battery charge.

Same here. Bought ours brand new for Xmas and after riding it twice it will only go in reverse. I called huffy and they sent a new wiring controller part and again, my daughter rode it a couple of times and it quit working. Will only go in reverse

Ours broke also. First the cable to the battery came loose the first day, next went the rear gears and when we fixed that, the control module went out. Apparently just a high priced piece of junk.

Did Huffy ever save the poor steering control and overlapping tierod ends. How did the steering ever even make it off the drawing board? Complete incompetence on Huffy's part...

Huffy, we make junk, is more like it. But the 4 wheeler for 300 dollars huffy! So got to ride it twice now the p.o.s. won't move. Replaced the forward/reverse switch for him to be able to ride it the second time and that was it. Replaced the on/off switch because it was corroded (not ran through water), it wouldn't come on so I replaced it. Now I see that at least the switch get power, but the lights don't come on, (even though I did a continuity check on the wiring), but they don't work and the the rest of it is just dead. No movement what so ever. Do your self a favor and DONT BUY IT! Then these asshats want you to buy a warranty or replacement parts. Yeah, im going to replace it alright.

We just ordered this thing on walmart.com. I'm an engineer and wanted some specs on it. Couldn't find much, very little reviews, literally zero info on Huffy's website.....so I contacted Huffy Customer service by phone and they were utterly useless. Pathetic at best. Held the line for 45 minutes to finally get a live person with no clue only to get Hing up on after being put on hold for another 12 minutes! Between all that and the comments here I'm canceling the order. I'm better off taking 1/2 the cost of this Chinese POS and doing legitimate upgrades to our existing power wheels. Parts are readily available for those all over the internet and customizable to exactly your budget and level of desired reliability. This think looks really cool but most kids don't Care! They just want to GO! Thanks for solidifying my decision!

I'm sorry but these all should be recalled. I received a new controller and after I plugged the board in without the power button on it took off in reverse. I tried every to get this working properly. My daughter was heartbroken. She literally drove this for about 3/4 of a year only up at camp. If I had the money I'd sue Huffy to get my 500+ dollars back. I'm so mad about this situation. These are built like crap. They say all metal frame ... like WoW what good is it if it won't drive. Maybe I should rent a hot air balloon and drop it while filming. I think my daughter would have more fun watching it get destroyed than hopping on it for it to do nothing. Man im pissed. DO NOT BUY THESE UTV EVER FROM HUFFY. HUFFY UTV = WASTE OF MONEY👿😡🤬
