Lil Chris!💛I stumbled on this performance when it first aired on PBS. YES that PBS. I was mesmerized. I heard of her but I never saw her perform because her music wasn’t fully my taste. But she made my ass a believer with this performance. By the time she got to the “Hang Ten” phrasing I was standing up in my living room shouting and clapping at the screen like I was in church! This is the best performance she’s ever done of this cut. The musicians with her are excellent making this cut a pure meditation of rage. I was totally for it then and now. Thanks for reviewing. Don’t be perturbed at the interruptions.💛

The album version of "The Waitress" is notably different. Tori had these long, even epic, live versions of certain songs. I think the bands during 1996-2000 was perhaps her best...
